I occasionally make male HAs and the hair options aren't great. But I'll mention that I often use "male" styles on female HAs too. So making male hairstyles is not catering to a niche market, it appeals to all.

I've noticed that some people are complaining about how we have too many shaved-side male hairstyles, those seems to be the only male hairstyles that are being released at the moment, so I agree that we could do with more variety to balance it out.

As someone that likes that style, I don't mind too much. But I also really like diversity and tried to find more styles. However, even when I originally made the board in '16 I remarked on how many of the cuts were basically undercuts. Even still, this seems to be a trend with complaints: -Say you want more male styles -Get male style -No not that one, a different one -Another style -No not that one something else All the while not giving examples of styles they like/want, and many blatantly ignoring me directly telling them to suggest things with a nice link to the board.

I'm still astounded that hair styles have gender.

I will make it more clear that I use male loosely. It's more a shorter way of saying "wigs marketed to more masculine leaning people but honestly not specific to them seeing as it's fucking hair." But I don't have time or room to say that all the time. And staff used to be very bad at releasing things that were masculine, neutral, etc etc etc

In a very specific Subeta way, they do. The HA we have to work with is chibified and deformed. Both of these graphic effects on that cartoon style become extrapolated in our brains to RL human shapes. They look most like what we think that undifferentiated and undeveloped humans look the most like. So to make anything 'look male' in this particular paper-doll game, any clothing or wig has to be emphatically differentiated and male looking, to the point of doing male-drag.

This is why I find 's examples that are shown on women unconvincing. They're awesome styles! One could pull them off in RL but not with the HA we have.

honestly if we could have more curl textures in general, that would be amazing. i know it might be hard to draw on such a small scale but there are some beautiful curly wigs on here, there can def more more types of curly styles.

DESPERATE for more shaved heads with stubble/very fine head fuzz! Like your hair is growing back but it's more like a shadow of its former self!

ughh male hair is very difficult to find. and I really really don't like the idea of having to resort to CWs to get cool hair (and ngl again, most of them are actually bad) and most of the time, CW hairs are more feminine/female-like

so please, more hair!
