I write historical fiction and I love making HA of the characters but it's soooo hard to find appropriate items. So I'm making this topic to keep track of the items and maybe help other people too. Any additional suggestions are welcomed! I'm just one person after all. Because fashion doesn't fit into neat little boxes so if you're looking for bell bottoms in the 1960s and you come up empty check the the 1970s too. Also please no face layer items unless they're glasses, facial hair, and stuff like that.

What a great idea! I'll keep a watch on this but feel free to ping me once this gets more updated so I can add it under our Useful Threads post! <3

Also I'm not the best at knowing historical eras of clothing so some of these might just be completely wrong lol. But after a quick look I found these!: 1900s+? *

1940s/50s? * * * *

1960s/70s?

I think some items from the (1900s+), (1910/1980 gothic trends), or (80's) as well could work as well!

I always like to use this as mutton chops:

There are these and all their recolors, too:

Here are my other favorite historical hair pieces:

gentle gasp Yes.

What about this year's Masquerade items? They seem to be about 1650's-1700's, if I were to guess.

This's a good post.

All of the Roaring 20s things from this year's New Years shop can go on here.

I use a lot of the Hamilton themed stuff- it's more costume-y but it's definitely period uniforms.

Hey! lots of stuff from different periods in steamworks with lots of color variations, I'll try and put atleast one of each that I can confidently identify as based on real/specific items, and not a steampunk fantasy (I'm a costume design student). because it's steampunk a lot of the realistic stuff does fall into the victorian catagory but there's some exceptions.

1500's

1600's

Rococo(1730ish-1800)

Regency(1800-1850ish)

Victorian (1850-1900)

WWI & WWII (1910-1940ish)

1920's

late 1960's-1970's

1980's-
