So I made this cobbler but didn't pay attention to how much of what ingredients I put into it.. Ingredients: baking mix (the kind you just add water to) 2(15 oz) cans of sliced peaches butter sugar water

The measuring cup I was using was a 1/2 cup.. so I know used more than 2 1/2 cups of baking mix. More than 2 1/2 cups of sugar.. The butter I used a teaspoon so 3 teaspoons of butter. I just poured the water didn't measure it at all..

does the following sound correct?

So I added (I think) 2 cups of baking mix. 3 teaspoons of butter. 1 cup of sugar. both cans of peaches(mine where undrained) and stirred. (I just dumped mine all in same dish I was cooking it in) If it was dry looking add water. (careful don't make peach soup!) If it reminds you of making bread add some water.

been trying to get creative with what I have on hand.. but I forget to how much of how much I put in.. so it's kinda hard to remake the same dish next time..

That sounds really good--I'll need to try it sometime! I'm not a very adventurous baker, so most of what I've experimented with have been various 'spruced up' versions of box mixes, lol. I like anything that I just need to stir and pour before baking, so this sounds wonderful :)

Did the top of yours crisp up after baking, or would you say that it became soft and cake-like?
