I really love playing MMO's! I mostly play for the combat as I love fighting and grinding, but I've always been interested in guilds and partying up, things like that. My FAV is Tera, though I don't play it much anymore for reasons. I've currently picked up Path of Exile which is super fun to play but GOSH the chat is AWFUL! I've got to have it turned off if I want to enjoy the game. Anyway, I'm trying to get back into mabinogi (the game won't boot on my computer for some reason; it might be a steam issue?) I've tried playing FFXIV but the combat is not to my particular play style. (I'm a PC user, so I'm strictly keyboard and mouse. Not that I wouldn't try console, but I've never had any other need for a controller before, you know?) I've played a couple others here and there, but nothing I feel worth mentioning.
While my favorite aspect of MMO's is the combat system, and I'd also like to find one that has friendly players, which feels like looking for a needle in a haystack. People on here seem super chill so I wonder, what are your favorite MMO's? Would you recommend them, and why?
not sure if this game would be considered a MMO, but it's called Summoner's War! it's my favorite because I can play it on my phone, it's about leveling up your monsters strategically, and becoming the strongest.
Warframe - I love its combat and the community is generally pretty chill and helpful. Its movement is amazing once you get a hang of it and it sorta ruined every other game for me Just be prepared to make the wiki your best friend, the game doesn't always exactly tell you what to do and how
This may be an old thread, but I'd recommend looking into Guild Wars 2, the combat is similar to TERA if I remember correctly. The only real problem I have with it is sometimes the end-game combat can be a bit repetitive. There is a lot to do, but if you play too much I think it can be a slog. Plus, it has a new expansion soon so I suppose that adds more variety to the game.
I'm not really familiar with the games you mentioned so my suggestion may not fit your play style. But I have been really enjoying my recent return to Neverwinter. Since I don't really dive into any online community I cannot guarantee how friendly it is but in my experience it is a pretty friendly and helpful group. Even though it is an older game the graphics are nice and it runs well on almost every computer I've tried playing it on.
