This is not about the current event or alerts that are not working.

Since the move my events tab in the sidebar has not shown the current events. The most recent ones are from the gift alert and the last Masq. Because I do not check my events often or delete them often they have built up. The numbers are increasing every day and if I go to the event page I can see the new ones when I scroll far enough.

It was frustrating enough that the events showing were not current but when I went to delete events on the events page I found that the Clear All button would only refresh the page instead of deleting anything. Now I am left to delete hundreds of events one at a time. When my sisters deleted their events down to a reasonable amount their sidebar started showing their events again but until I can delete in bulk I do not think I will spend my time doing it individually.

Please feel free to chime in and let me know I am not alone in this most annoying of errors.

I just tested deleting individual and "clear all" options on the events page and everything worked

How many events have you accumulated? It's possible you have accumulated so many it takes the system a little while to process all the events being deleted. You can see the quantity of events remaining on the top of the 'Events' side of the dashboard.

The events tab on the sidebar should show the 100 newest events you have. You can also click the trashcan icon on the header for each grouping of events to clear them. Even if you have 1000 events, it's about 10 or so clicks, so not really a lot of trouble for having a few months or years of events built up?

When using the 'Clear All' button on the Events Page, there is a visual glitch where the event does not disappear from the list. The event is actually deletes (You can check the sidebar or by refreshing the events page), so the problem is only visual.

Thank you for your help. I had around 914 when I posted this thread and now I had 930. My sidebar hasn't shown the newest events in the other section since I think when we moved but I don't check my other events often. The events that were showing were old ones from kissing and dancing that I hadn't deleted.

I tried going to the events page and using the clear all button on my shop purchases and nothing changed. Since you said it was a visual thing I went to another page and then back again. I know I have a lot of shop purchases but the number in the sidebar showing how many events I had hadn't changed. So I finally gave in and started deleting old events in the sidebar and got the number down to 860. Then I went to the events page and tried the clear all button again on my shop purchases and the number changed to 855. Not sure why because I have a lot more than 5. As far as I can tell it isn't just a visual thing.

Since more event columns were showing in my sidebar I deleted my Forum group mentions and got the number down to 807. Then a Vesnali column showed up. Why does Vesnali have its own column is this new. Will each event get its own column? Sorry back on topic. Deleted the Vesnali column and the number is now 786. The sidebar still isn't showing almost any of my shop purchase events. Deleted the 1 shop purchase showing and some more old other events and its down to 765. I went back to the events page and tried clear all again on my shop purchases and the number went down to 757. I tried clicking clear all again on shop purchases and the number changed to 756. Why does clicking clear all or delete refresh the page and why did it only delete 1 event. I tried again and it still only changed the number by 1.

Ok well I'm going to keep at it but that is where it is as of now.

If there is any other information that would help let me know.

[edit]Ok I may be seeing some of that visual thing you mentioned because the number has gone down to 736 and I haven't deleted any more yet.

I have definitely cleared more than 1000 events from the events page without issue within the last 1 month or so, using the 'clear all' function. You may just have too many categories from various events.

Every time you press the 'Clear All', for now you have to do a refresh (Ctrl F5) to see the events page update with the correct events. It may take a little while for the sidebar number to update.

[edit] Noticed another issue, I believe this has only been happening for the past 2 days but I could be mistaken. Events should always show NEWEST FIRST. So as you delete more and more events, you will find older ones (not newer ones) However at the moment I am being shown my oldest 100 Only just managed to get over 100 events last night to notice this issue
