Hey everybody! Survival is just over two months away which means it will be at our doorstep to smack us in the face before we know it, so here's a list of things we'll need to prepare beforehand just to keep it in the back of our heads for now.

...Change the logos to model HAs in the meantime (or use plushies?). If you want to put up place-holders, I second plushies: the members' art is just as important a component as the victorious model, I just can't have one without the other! Either way once it's decided, I can help save-and-reupload the plushies/outfit art (since we can't just ask the forums to use the site copy).

Prepare your signatures! PLUSHIES FOUND HERE! Make sure to check your character limits! My strains list was getting long enough that the [item= codes ran me out of room! A link to the current bite directory and/or to #nvlb gets people to the right place to find all the instructions they need!

I suppose just use the models for now. If i recall correctly, some might be missing at this point, and if that's the case, we'll use the plushies until we can recast those.

-looks at my signature- umm.....yeh and it's about to get longer for me. I finally just decided to say I have all -insert year here-'s strains when I completely "check off" a year.

I guess for a minor preperation of mine I need to expect the unexpected >_<, I go into survival with a battle plan but the last two years have had some major glitch that threw wrenches in said plans and caused stress outs for me trying to get my "strain quota". Holidays are known to have at lest some glitch or case of lag so I guess I need to be ready to alter plans accordingly this year.

Heads-up, there was a stealth-revision and/or accidental reversion: Forum Groups Limit: Updated! :) is now five (again?) for any one user.

I haven't seen any official communication re: whether this was an accidental reversion to very old code that reinstated limits that have been defunct for years, or a change in policy no one bothered communicate or something else, so I can't guess whether this change is likely to be reversed. If we admins hear anything pertinent we'll try to keep y'all appraised.

Among many other people affected much more seriously, this means that I (sitting on like 30-40+ strain ping groups) can't now make any new groups. Current groups are completely unaffected at present, so nvlb operations will continue as ever. We've got a contingency plan for the new groups we're going to be needing once the new strains go virulent at like Z+7 or whenever, so at this time it looks like service will be completely unaffected.

I have a billboard I want to use to get the achievement and I was thinking I could use it to advertise the NVLB board during Survival (not that it needs help!). Does anyone have a banner already made?

Do you know, was thinking the exact same thing a few days ago. You two must be those great minds they're always talking about...

(Another great idea if the nvlb ads don't work out is to use them to advertise your kiss link, which is a popular ad every year during survival I think, but I don't know how many people actually kiss the ads.)

If you two (and any other achievement-seekers?) want to get together and design billboards, it certainly couldn't hurt to give people a quick reminder and an easy link! We might even have some ads designed that could work... I think ? made some when we advertised last year for volunteers...?

Thanks! I've seen the kiss link done, but since I have an excess of seasonal currency and all the kiss achievements, that feels a bit pointless for me - but the service NVLB provides is something I want to share ;)

I did just tested one of our locked topic, and we can edit the OP, so we can link to one our bite threads too. I guess it doesn't really matter? Also have to update that thread.
