The news page is sticking the side bar way down at the bottom for me and I've confirmed this with another user as well. In both our cases, it happened after our gold accounts expired. Possibly something to do with the ads.
🌈 I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days sneak up on me at once 🌈
That isn't happening to me with the sidebar, but... a lot of text is being centered suddenly? On all the news posts, on the forums including the forum pulse, etc...
I'm having both problems (the centering and the sidebar going to the bottom of the page), as well!
I've got some custom css to fix some of the centered text:
/restore left text alignment/
.mt-3.mb-3, .pb-3, .m-3, .col-10, .ui.message, .bg-light.p-3.mb-3, .basic.segment, .top.attached.segment.inverted.posted.ui, .bottom.attached.progress {text-align: left;}
I'm probably going to keep editing this CSS as I find new things aligned center that shouldn't be for reasons of accessibility and sanity. If something's not aligning right, either supposed to be left or should be centered, feel free to bug me to look into fixing it.
I'm experiencing this problem as well as the centred text in both news post and forum home page. Unfortunately, I can't seem to edit the CSS at the moment as it's not applying right now. Hope this gets fixed soon!
Thank you so much for sharing that custom CSS and for offering to further fix stuff. ;o; hugs It worked for me and now most of the news page and forum text seems to be back in place!!
The text is centered, images are center, and links are centered. The news page is not centered and the sidebar that's usually on the left is pushed all the way to the bottom beneath an ad banner. It's really annoying.
I'm on a chromebook and I've noticed that the chromebook's screen is wider in scale than my home computer so I thought that had something to do with it at first. Here's a screenshot of the Restocking Shops page. And the news page.
I think this issue should be fixed now. Are you still seeing text alignment issues around the site? If so, please let me know which specific pages it's still happening on and I will look into it again.
[edit] Just to let you know, I am editing this topic's title to help us keep track of the bug report :)

Everything is still centered once I turn off my CSS T_T This is for all the stuff I tried to fix- news posts, news comments, forum front page, forum post time stamp and some of posting buttons, armory, scrolls, npc flavor text.
I'm not sure if you've seen it, but starting here some users seem to think it may be related to ads messing with the site layout as it seems (maybe?) gold account users aren't having the same center alignment issues. This should (I hope?) be easy to test on your end since you can control for browser/OS/addons/layout/custom CSS and just turn a GA on and off with a test account. Non-GA is also missing the link to remove ads directing us to the cash shop section for gold account medals, but I'm not sure if this is intentional, related to ads behaving badly, or something's gone sideways.
The news page sidebar issue was fixed for a while, but is back to being broke again, after reset today seemingly.

Unfortunately, I'm also still having the same issues. The news page is still centered and the sidebar is disappearing to the bottom of the page.
For me, the quests are still messed up with centering. Shops seem to be centered all of a sudden, which wasn't happening when I posted on my first topic. Thank you for redirecting me here!
I'm not sure if you've been working on it or done anything specific, but I'm currently no longer experiencing any centering issues. I haven't changed anything on my end either, so hopefully that means you've perhaps fixed it. :)
Thanks for continuing to look into all the issues like this <3
Thank you for the information <3
I've discussed this further with Keith, and we determined it was due to a problem with the Google ad service we use. It was automatically placing advertisements in ways that broke page layouts, something we didn't foresee when testing. It's been turned off now so this should no longer be happening. If you're still seeing this problem, please try clearing your browser cache.
