Hi y'all -- I've actually had this account for 6 years or so but completely forgot about it. Just found my way back here a few months ago after randomly looking for virtual pet sites (I was quite addicted to neopets back in the day -- this site is much more fun and the artwork SOOOOO much better!) Anyway, thought I'd just introduce myself. Irl I live in rural New York, and am training to get a job in wildlife rehabilitation -- for now it's been internships/part time jobs as full time is hard to come by, but I'm hoping I'll get there eventually. In between I work on a produce farm. I just love jobs where I can be outside/close to nature.
So far I think I've figured out the basics of the site, but I'm sure I've got a long way to go to learn everything, there's just so much here. I've mostly been in the Luminaire forums recently since I think the gift giving/receiving is a lot of fun :)
If anyone has questions or just wants to chat about wildlife/nature I'd definitely love to talk as it's my favorite subject!

Welcome back! Rural New York sounds lovely. I bet you have the prettiest fall colors. I think it is important to have a connection with nature and that's awesome that you have found ways to make that your profession. You came back to Subeta during a fun time. Welcome back, ! I have an auntie who works in Wildlife Conservation in New Zealand. Her entire job is just going on hikes, advocating for native flora and fauna, and managing local campsites and parks. I've always been wildly jealous of her job because it just sounds like so much fun, and I think that's kind of the same vibe as what you're into, right? It was must be great to be out in the sun, grounded and working with animals!
