I'm not sure if this has ever been suggested, or if there is already a way to do this... but I often wish I could see who created specific custom wearables. It would be nice if it showed up under its description so the artist recieved credit and users could contact them to ask about the item.

EDIT: By artist I mean the creator of the item on the site. NOT the artist of the icon/preview.

I've always really wished this was a thing. I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement at this point though. With over 37,000 cws onsite at this point (according to subetalodge!) I can't imagine this being an easy coding task. (but I know very little about coding and could be wrong) When CWs first came out, you were not required to put the artist's name to submit, so there will be thousands of CWs prior to that change that don't have an artist associated with them :S

Hm, I didn't know that. I'm not sure how easy it would be either, but if it could be done even to just the CW released from now on that would still be awesome!

The one problem I see with that, admittedly probably the only one, is that there would be a lot of now frozen users on some very old CWs. That being said, it would force Subeta to reexamine some cases of why a user was frozen while also flying in the face of not talking about frozen users on site.

Beyond that, I'd love to be able to more easily track down CW creators.

Well, you can find who submitted a CW by opening the item image in a new tab and pasting the first string of numbers from the URL into this code [userid=]

It doesn't necessarily help with finding the artist's name, but it'd give you the username of the person you should contact if you had a question. I wouldn't be opposed to having a simpler method available though/somewhere to look that up

I understand the desire for artist credit but I think it might be a little complicated due to the nature of CWs and commissions. How would off-site artists be displayed? Agoge (Subeta's corporate identity) may not want to credit art they now own to others/any language to do so might be too cumbersome to easily be put in something like a tooltip. It would be nice for artists who are Subeta users but that's only a portion of total CWs so it creates a weird dichotomy (and still has the ownership language concerns). I know artist privacy has been brought up before too, with some artists making their commissions more private than others. That's a little ruled out by them at least having to be submitted to staff now but not entirely.

Submitter though, should/could absolutely be displayed. It's not hidden, as others have pointed out, and it's ultimately who you need to go through to inquire about or attempt to purchase the item anyways so it's more useful. The art theft/proper credit rules could possibly be tweaked to require submitters to be more open about artists but since it really depends on the terms of the original commission I could understand Subeta not wanting to get too involved in regulating that.

I meant submitter, not the actual artist. I guess I assumed it was generally the same person. I can see how that's confusing now!

I'm not concerned with knowing who was the artist but it would be very nice if there was a simple way to find out where the item came from, even if this information was on Subetalodge, so I could ask if it was limited or would ever be re-released. There are so many CW's I like but they are not currently in a shop when I search them. And the frustrating part is I don't know if I should give up searching because it was so limited it would be impossible to find.

🌟YAY!!! I finally reached 5000 food items! My ultimate goal is 9000. 🌟
My first Gourmand pet would appreciate anything from this list that looks yummy.
Still need Morostide candy if anyone is trying to eliminate sugar from their pets diet
