UGH I'M SO PISSED OFF... like seriously pissed off and upset... and I know it's just a game but this just hurt me.. Yeah I might be overreacting and you're welcome to tell me so but ugh I just feel like shit now and angry... all the angry..

Playing Pokemon Shield and enjoying the game.... nothing to rant about THAT... I get to route 8 and randomly decide to head into some grass and get a ! encounter.... Ok cool I wonder what I got...

SHINY DUSCLOPS!!!!!

NO FECKING WAY!?!?!? I hadn't even reached the 6th gym... I was stunned and excited and almost dropped my game....

But of course this wouldn't be a rant if something didn't go wrong... right? Of course.. I try and carefully whittle it down... It lands a curse... ok that makes my life easier.... Chuck 20 diffferent Pokeballs at it... the damn thing REFUSES TO BE CAUGHT... like holy fook.... THEN my Pokemon faints.. Ok so I switch into someone else? ..... The S.O.B. curses AGAIN.... and pretty much kills itself.....

I just sat there in silence for a good 5 minutes staring at the screen... LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FAWK?????

The irony is... I wasn't even AIMING for any shinies AND.... I was just a town away from getting the Catch Charm to make catching a little easier.... like SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!

i had a friend who got a hoarde encounter in alpha sapphire, 4 seviper + 1 zangoose (or the other way around? idr) except the zangoose was shiny and they had to watch in horror as the 4 sevipers murdered it while they couldn't ko them all in time and catch it pokemon can be savage lmao

I feel for you! That is one of my biggest fears if I encounter a random shiny that it will be one that runs away in like one move or faints some how.

My horror story comes from playing Crystal on an online emulator. Now of course we all know how great the Gen 1 & 2 graphics were...went to explore a cave and ran into a shiny Onix as soon as I entered. I was excited as all heck as I've never encountered a shiny in my regular Game Boy cartridges. Well, needless to say, the thing fainted after one hit from a Pokemon it wasn't even weak to! How stupid was that?!

On another positive rant, in my X version (I think), I encountered, and caught, a shiny Zoroark without even realizing it was a shiny until I went to view it in my party. He was the very first shiny that I had ever caught in any of the games:)

The main thing I’ve had a problem with is the lack of the gts like all I wanted was a bloody goomy so I can get my party the way I want it relatively early in the game but I’ve had no luck and I can’t get it in sword at all. I got a male goodra from a surprise trade but by the time I can get a ditto to breed it... pulls hair out

Also the only legit shiny I’ve ever even seen was a graveler in let’s go eevee. I caught it but ugh it’s just an ugly orange rock. ☹️
