I had a ton of offers on my halloween lots last night but I was so zonked by IRL halloween (I had been up for well over 30hrs on no sleep,) I passed out as soon as I got home and now, all of those offers are gone. T_T I was ticked too cuz there were a lot of good ones that I didn't have the time to choose between.

Wait, why are the offers gone? Were the items up for more than two weeks???

I feel ya OP. Had the same thing happen. NO offers when I went back to the real world and then came back on here to: "such and such user has offered on insert trade number and then the "Offer from such and such user has been cancelled" :K Personally, if that happens, I remember who they were ( have a memory like a elephant for offers ) and never accept any offer(s) from them again, ever! [edit]Oh and it is not that I was gone for days... was only gone for 6 hours or so - when this latest offer and cancelled offer crap happened. Just wanted to clarify. :)

Most likely, because some people just dont have patience to wait or they think when they offer, the person should accept right then and NOW!!! They think people are on here 24/7 -_-

I personally offered and cancelled several times during this Moro cause I simply got the item I wanted via ToT. Why would I need a copy? LOL, a little bit more understanding people, once offer has been placed it doesn't mean it belongs to you already, and cancelling certainly isn't a reason for personal vendetta, geez.

I did the same. I was offering on stuff while TOTing, so often I would get a copy or someone would gift me it, and then I canceled my offer. I understand it might be frustrating if you were busy IRL, but to a lot of people who don't live in the US, it was a regular week day. I didn't know it would be seen as rude, otherwise I would have avoided it personally.

If it takes someone more than 24 hours to get on and say yes or no, yeah, I'm canceling because A) I am impatient and B) Someone else, who is on now, can accept a trade.

But think of it this way, the people who will patiently wait around for your acceptance are the people who aren't going to offer in the first place - they're the ones who are going to patiently wait for the price to go down, or just wait to pick it up next year. Its the impatient people who want the stuff NOW, NOW, NOW who will make huge tempting offers. If someone else comes online before you they'll switch their offer.

I don't normally cancel the offer on trades unless the person is gone for more than a few days. I canceled on a trade I think last year because the person had been gone for five days. I didn't want to take a chance they'll be gone from the site for, weeks, months or just not come back at all. That has happened to me before.
