You know how nothing works whenever there is an event? How about you fix it forst, so it all works, then hold the event? Fix first, postpone event, make sure all works, hold event. Great idea, right?
If something is broken for you, you should post about it over here. Otherwise they won't know and can't fix it.
The site was working extremely fine before Morostide kicked in, actually
You probably know why. Because Subeta. Nothing works, and everything is working extremely fine at the same time!
Yes, surprisingly :D Hence my ramble about event ;)
LOL
The problem is, a lot of stuff seems to break because of increased traffic during the event. So IDK if there's much that can even be fixed before the event starts, since it isn't causing problems yet.
Other than the underlying problems of a lot of the code being old and still probably needing to be redone, and better servers. All of which has been discussed extensively before on feedback.
idk, I could be alone, but the site's been working pretty decent for me. :x I've only had two 504s and that was during quickstocking (which usually 504s for me when moving a ton of items during holiday times). Lag, sure, I've had it, but that's kind of to be expected when you suddenly go from 400 to 800-900 users online at peak times, and everyone is trying to get the holiday goodies.
Overall... This feels like one of the smoother holiday starts. If the site ends up lagging for all of Morostide, I'd definitely get the complaint and the annoyance. But so far... I'm willing to wait, give it a chance and see where it goes before jumping on the complaint bandwagon.
It's day 2 and the site has been down all of maybe 5 minutes. That is a huge improvement upon 90% of events of the past 5 years.
While I understand the frustration users get when something doesn't run as smooth as they had hoped, this is not a constructive suggestion. Programmers do try and fix things before they go out and they are working to fix the things that are now broken. We ask that you please be patient with us.
Locking this up.
