I joined yesterday or the day before, but I suppose I haven't properly introduced myself yet.
Hi, my name is Kim and I'm originally from Xanje. I discovered the Riftborn Paralix and instantly fell in love with it so I joined in hopes of getting to see more pretty pets, so to say the least I wasn't disappointed.
However, I was instantly turned off by the number of pets you're allowed to have. I suppose that's because Xanje allows unlimited pets and is more focused on collecting and breeding. I must say though, the two are very alike in terms of having different patterns for each species.

Welcome to Subeta - there are definitely a lot of different style pets and colors for them.
You can get more pet slots as you grow your subeta account using the points you've earned so you'll definately have the opportunity for as many slots as you could want.
Don't be shy - ask questions if you get stuck anywhere there is a lot going on!
Welcome to Subeta! I'm not familiar with the other site you mentioned, but on Subeta users are encouraged to do profiles or collections (treasures) for their pets if they so like, including options to customize each pets' overlay. There are also a multitude of sP or CSC or earnt ways for increasing your number of pet slots. Personally I'm sitting at about 40 and it's more than I can take care of to my liking, so I don't use all the slots right now c':
If you're interested in collecting though, we do have lots of alternative options such as plushies, beanbags, stickers and more!
