Windows 10 using Firefox browser.

I got the random event with the Ice King challenging me to a battle, so I immediately click it and go to the page, but when I click the "Start Battle" button it essentially just refreshes the page. It goes through the motions doesn't start the battle at all. I expect he'll probably still wallop me, but I got a new weapon and wanted to see if I fared any better against him now. This is the second time in the past few days I've gotten the event and clicked on the link to challenge him but found that it refused to actually initiate the battle.

EDIT: Just got the event again while questing around 4:01:00-ish. Clicked the link straightaway and newp. sadface

I thought I had this issue with battling every now and then, but sometimes I just have to make sure to select a pet up top. Like here I have my pet Colfax selected, but Tragar isn't: sometimes I've found it just unselects your pet for some reason!

I'm fairly certain my boy Marido is definitely selected when I've encountered this issue, but I'll double check when it pops up again, because that's a good idea. I've only ever had a problem specifically with the Ice King, all other challengers it's fine. I've hit the "You can only equip 8 weapons" error thing before, when I click too quickly on Start Battle and then I have to go back and click again - but it gets it right the second time.

I haven't seen that one, but I'm a chronic "clicking too fast and breaking things" kind of person, so I'll keep an eye out for it! And I hope you figure out what's stopping you from taking on the Ice King! :)

You need to chose a pet before you click to start the battle.

LMFAO! The event finally popped up again and y'all nailed it with needing to select the pet. Odd as hell since he's the only one I've had issues with... but! Happy it's not broken! My apologies staff-folks, this can definitely be locked now and chalked up to player-ignorance. ^^
