It's a little late since usually around three months is needed, but New Year's is coming up and making Suggestions here will give staff time to implement. Anyhow, this is where all y'all can make Suggestions for this holiday.
[edit] It is now 20[sup]th[/sup] November 2019 and any Suggestions for this holiday will now be last minute, and things will be something hectic as both Fireside and Luminaire will overlap. Get your desperate last minute ones in right now!
There's also already going a thread for Survival 2020. I think the Atebus Revolution Masquerade comes next, but I don't see any threads on it here yet?
Books about it being a new decade, maybe about possibilities for what could happen in the future, how one day people will look back on the 2020's and see it as history? In fact, we could have books about the 2010's with references to things that happened then.
It would be interesting if there was a theme of the future and possibilities, maybe we could also have some more blank or diary book items that would be good for the treasures of pets who want to keep track of everything that happens, or some items based around different forms of news?
Sorry, I'm just really excited for this new decade to start, I want to record as much as possible about it and then look back on it later to see what the 2020's were like.
Maybe some stuff about environmental challenges, too.
We could also have some music items, CDs or records that have references to famous songs from the 2010's, DVDs of movies and shows that are also references to ones from that time.
Since we'll be entering the 20s, it'd be neat to see some roaring 20s items/references!
An Art Deco-inspired BG wallpaper or frame would be awesome. o
Item - Book About The Future! Description: You open it up and...hey...flying cars? Teleportation? Check the published date...yep, 70 years ago.
I thought an item like that already existed, but I can't think of what it might be called at the moment. Or maybe I'm remembering wrong.
But something like that would be pretty funny if we don't have it already lol.
-Hangover cures -Here's some traditional new year foods around the world. I myself am very fond of Oliebollen. -Folders about pet welfare on new years eve (as lots of pets are terrified of all those explosions)
Now for the new year's 'customary' glitter, gold and explosions
There needs to be a lot of 20/20 jokes. :D Gimme the perfect vision puns
I was counting the posts until someone said that. I refrained from putting it in the OP, just for all y'all.
Bullet journals, planners, calendars, and journaling supplies!
Planner stickers could make for an awesome set of stencils and other wearable decorations for the HA. Pens and pencils could be a variety of tattoos.
Traditional new years meals over here are: grilled fish, boeuf salad (or oliver's salad, though both are awesome. they are a bit different); steak and aspic jelly. o.o LOL The aspic and the salad would be prepared in large quantities because who wants to cook on jan 1 and 2 anyways?
I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.
