This is a very low priority suggestion, but I've been fishing a bit since those new fish were released, and was wondering... can we see where the actual spot was we were trying to get to, compared to what we picked? I don't think this would spoil anything about the game or make it any easier, just might be a nice little bit of feedback (especially when you get the you're getting closer message every time and then YOU WERE NOWHERE NEAR IT, STUPID). The description in the game has "Fishing is always worth the trip today, because we learn a little more about fishing tomorrow" and I don't feel like I'm learning :C
I think my main reservation about doing this, besides if it took a lot of effort, would be if people thought it made the game too easy, or maybe remove too much of the mystery...

To be honest, I really have no clue how fishing is supposed to work lol. Like I get the general idea, but the clues sometimes make no sense. I've had what you describe happen, and I've also had the opposite happen where it tells me I'm getting worse each time and then at the end I was "so close!" ???
Anyway, I don't feel like it would remove too much of the mystery. But I feel like there's the potential for it to make people even more upset if they see where the fish was and compare it to where they clicked and what messages they got. Like if they were close but the game was telling them they weren't? IDK lol
This isn't trying to doubt the programming of the game or anything, just sometimes it really does feel like it makes no sense. But as you said, this isn't super high priority or anything, and I still fish a lot anyway for a chance to get the new ones since it doesn't really take that long just to click a few times.
I don't think this would help at all. What I would prefer to see is gradations in "hot" and "cold." Freezing, cold, hot, scorching maybe. Like you get the scorching result if you hit the right square, then finding that elusive pixel might actually be possible.

ugh yeah anything to make this game more sensible. also the fact that the first move is essentially a waste since the game only tells you how much closer or further you are relative to your last move, not how close you are objectively. except when it just says you're getting very close, but you still don't know if that means both your current and previous move are equally close to the right spot or... man i dunno, i just click pretty randomly and assume it's all down to chance.
Also, a mark on all previously clicked squares. If you can't remember which of the near identical water squares you clicked previously not even the hotter colder location thing can help you. Either that or assign letters and numbers to the grid's rows and possibly display the coordinates and accompanying text of all previous squares underneath the map. For example: you first clicked the top left square then the one below it in the next turn, the text underneath the map says "1st tile: A1 you are cold 2nd tile: B1 you are freezing"
I have no objections to the reveal of the Treasure, but the map is ten thousand locations big. Since you only get four guesses, it's not really going to help you.
It isn't a game of hotter or colder it is a logic game. You do not know at any time while you are playing if you are hotter or colder -to the treasure-. The game never tells you this until it is over. This means that at any point you could land right on it but if it isn't your last move it doesn't count. It only tells you if the guess you made is better than -your last guess-. It doesn't tell you anything about any other guesses you have made.
Is this hard, yes it is because you get two few guesses than you need.
The first move can't be wasted, because it's not a game of hotter or colder.
