I think it would so much more flavour to this world's lore. At the moment, the NPCs feel so under-used. At the moment, the staff seems to have the right idea with lab ray-related news or so, but more could be done. I was SO disappointed when the pride flags did not have Quentin talking about them. It is true that maybe the Pet Spotlight and technical difficulties could be given by the official Subeta account, but everything else has much more potential!

We also have: Free Gifts - Charity Weekend Bonus Quest - The chosen quest giver New items - Shopkeeper of whatever shop stocks the new item Crystal shop new releases - Ian Asmodeus Cash Shop news - Maybe the Hustler or the robot in the CS? I think the Robot would be a fun shopkeeper

A lot of the news IS given by the NPCs, though. Matlal "announced" the Angelic Xotl, Kain delivered the news about the Gelatin War, just to name a couple of very recent examples. Not to say they can't do more news items; I'm just saying it's not like the NPCs are being completely ignored.

Also, I think not using the Subeta official account is asking a bit much. There are some announcements and news that would feel hokey, or at least not feel right (imo), being delivered by a fictional character instead of staff. I don't see why they can't continue to do both.

That's exactly what I said on my post tho. Maybe I did not explain myself properly?

This first part states that I know characters are used, but they could be used more or are overlooked sometimes. Case in point, the pride flags that got released not so long ago in Quentin's Quest Shop.

This second part talks about exceptions to this rule. Some notices that MUST be given like this. Pet Spotlight mainly because it is automated, and technical or serious issues because they are meta-related. Basically, the character giving us the news would help us know what it is about and sort it in our minds, without giving it further thoughts.

I support this Suggestion.

The only minor variation I can think of is that NPC Chancellor Phoenix can announce many things that Subeta Staff does. He does represent the planetary government for King Keith after all. For instance Pet Spotlight is just the sort of thing that british royalty or the local baron lord mayor would announce/cut the ribbon for. Sebastian could also announce things like prize shops for site events opening.

The NPC (?) artificial sapience in the Cash Shop news has a name, it-or-she is named Jane.

Does the Recycle Beast talk? Because if he's just a critter then he can't announce his new items but someone else could. I bet NPC Elsie likes him because he's a source of "baking" ingredients.

NPC Ecks could announce the non-VIP parts of Survival.

The Masquerade could be announced by any of the NPC Gossips, or the nameless? Concierge or Barkeep.

I thought they used to do this more, like especially for when new items were released in an NPC shop they would have that NPC announce it. I don't know exactly if all of the NPCs have HAs or whatever, but I wouldn't mind this being something that it kind of goes back to more if possible. I know the start of events and things are usually announced by an NPC most associated with that event.

I think they did used to have more NPC news posts, I don't know what happened, I sort of miss them and it would make the news a bit more fun (And it's also a good chance to include a bit more of their personalities and add more lore). Not all of them have NPC accounts, and some of them do but don't have HA's made for them yet, but maybe it would encourage the staff to do that and use them more.

I think Quentin announced the pride sashes when they came out - I remember thinking that Quentin's HA looked odd when most people were arguing. It might have been an oversight that Quentin didn't announce the flags as well.

But in general, yeah, let the NPCs have some character to them!
