I just signed up to this site. Are there other adults playing on here or am I being very childish?

I used to play on the other well known pet site waaaay back, and I kind of missed it as a stress relief, so I signed up here.

Any other tips on getting me started? What is the best way to make CSC instead of buying? I'm a software developer, so I guess I could make profiles and such... Would that work?
