Occasionally, some turns during battling the Area leave me unable to select an item under "Choose Your Weapons", "Use Potion?", or "Use Spell?". Refreshing the page does nothing, and no amount of waiting - as in, leaving the battle to come back later - also does nothing (I've waited around 24 hours).

The only thing I found that's been letting me progress in a battle is by clicking "Make your turn". This means I have to waste a turn doing nothing (a disadvantage), and the problem is very likely to arise as some point in the next battle.

Some opponents have the ability to 'freeze' you for a turn. If you see a snowflake icon under your pet, this means you are frozen and you lose the move.

You can read up some more info how this on the battle forums. There are also items that allow you to freeze your opponent too (But some opponents cannot be frozen)

If that happens, it probably means you got frozen by your opponent. There will be like a snowflake icon under your pet and you won't be able to select any weapons because that's the penalty for getting frozen, it kind of wastes a turn. It's a normal part of battling that some opponents are able to do it, so not a bug.

There are some ways to prevent being frozen, some weapons have freeze protection built in, but for most of your weapons you can equip some of the which have a chance of activating a blessing that prevents you from being frozen. Particularly useful against opponents that like to freeze you a lot.
