What is the best way to beat the gelatin stompers?

Use The Ether or Natasha or something that will generate many, many spare weapons for it to steal, and try and chain-freeze it with Psycho Smasher and Shriek of Despair scrolls.

idk which weapons to use for this opponent.... and I've been quite unlucky with the number of Shriek and Psycho scrolls I received haha.

I found it was worth having, it's a good physical block and it's a better way to defend against stealing than counting on your blessing crystals?

also it's just really fun seeing all those legendaries.

I equipped recycle blaster/soma tablets, Natasha, Ether, Maniacal Essence, amulet of neutrality, Reviver of the Lion and phoenix quill. which is the saved set I keep for opponents that can't be frozen*, and I used a Cobalt Eternal for the first round and all the freeze scrolls I could equip after that.

it wasn't infallible because sometimes they still get lucky with the stealing/freezing but I made it to five wins.

*I know it can in fact be frozen, it just wasn't worth trying to use a freezer weapon on him so I led with the blasters.

It'd be better to use Ether for this opponent since the weapon generating rate is more stable and it blocks the right icons. Natasha doesn't block physical or earth which the Gela Stomper relies heavily on.

I would advise against gelatin slayer if it doesn't come with a heal. I haven't tested it for a long time with Stompers so I'm not sure if it would heal; I just remember vaguely that it does heal for a certain percentage when used against certain types of Gelatins. If it heals though and you don't have Maniacal Essence, then it might make a good substitute.

No, you have it right, the Gelatin Slayer has an added 9% heal against all of the gellies :D

However, he mostly does earth, physical, and light so I would recommend Ether paired with either Ornamented Hook Swords, Malhuili, Dark Goddess Rod, or Maniacal Slappy Hand. I suppose Blessed Trident could also be an option due to its blessing. Curses are disabled, but blessing of natural armor crystals will help a ton.

Looks good, good luck! If his stealing is still giving you trouble, I would consider switching out your Reviver of the Lion for another constant attacker. Having him steal your healer and heal is super annoying, and so is having him steal one of your constants without a backup :P

what would you suggest as a replacement? Natasha or the Gelatin slayer? or any other weapon?

btw, how would you mod the Ether?

Go all in on Blessing of Natural Armor crystals for freeze and steal prevention. Here's the guide for Gelatin Stomper's weapons. Anything that can block physical, earth, or light would be ideal, with ice, water, and wind less of a priority. Natasha and Gelatin Slayer block fire and dark, respectively, so they probably won't be too much help in keeping you alive.

Jess has got it right! I'm so sorry my memory has been really bad lately to actually remember anything properly. I did use Ether and Hook Swords for stompers so if you can replicate Jess's set you might be able to get wins a bit more easily ^^

What are your stats btw? If you're big enough I would advise swapping out the blasters, but it depends on how much health you've got to tank the dino's hits. P.S: Yeah on reading my previous post again I did write that the Stompers are big on earth and physical; but I don't know why I had the impression that a dark block could work as a substitute lol. Thank you correcting me. You can tell I've been gone for too long :P

I've tried to beat it a couple of times now, no success so far but my chances have increased quite a lot, thanks a ton for the tips!

I'm currently stealing it's weapons, but once he steals my Ether + OHS, I don't know which weapons I should use of the ones I stole from him.... Any tips for that? ^^;

[edit] managed to beat it 3 times so far! would 5 times be possible with the following stats?

Congrats! I beat him five times with my T11, so it’s definitely possible for you :D Absolutely do not use his weapons though, they will heal you for -100% HP.
