I've been wanting to use a Custom Overlay with my pet but I do not have any CSC. I know you can buy them but I don't have money right now.

So I wondered if there are any other alternative ways to get them.

You can stick some code on your profile to change the pet image. It's not the same as a custom overlay that shows up everywhere the pet does, but there's no way to get a custom overlay without CSC other than out of a loyalty box (which you get every year starting on your second anniversary of joining the site)

And how do I do that?

You'd go to your Pets page and edit the profile (the Edit Description link in the pet dropdown) of the pet you want to stick an overlay on, and then use this code inside of style tags:

{ position: fixed; top: 100px; left: 100px; background: url('URLHERE'); height: 200px; width: 200px; } You can edit the size and position of the image if necessary also

You don't have to spend real money to earn CSC in order to get a custom overlay uploaded to the site. You can also buy CSC with the in game currency; sP or trade items / etc for it! It comes in the form of cards like this which you redeem once in your inventory to add to your wallet amount; (in denominations of 100, 250, 500, 1000, 3000, and 5000) Currently a 100 credit gift card is worth a little over 11mil sP in user shops! (You can earn a good deal of sP to buy it by doing your daily quests, and while doing quests you can also earn these; which when activated from your inventory will give you 5 csc per quests for 5 quests, so 25 csc per card!) You can also earn I think about.... 100 csc a month for free from visiting the Bathhouse and taking a dip each day! Here is the Bathhouse!. You do have to go EVERY day though to keep your streak of prizes going, or it will reset if you miss a single day!

Lastly, you can also sell artwork, writing, etc in different forums if that's up your alley and that would make it easy to earn CSC too as people can pay in it directly :)
