Have you changed your username before? How did you decide on the change?

My original username back in 2007 was DesertAshes (my online alias is Ashes, but just "Ashes" was taken), and then I changed it to Hakurei in 2012 because I was on a Touhou kick, and then I changed it to Homulilly when I returned from hiatus in 2017 since I'm not into Touhou anymore but I love Madoka Magica. :'D

And now I'm thinking about changing it again! I have some ideas for what I'd like my new username to be, but I'm having some difficulties committing to it, haha. I'm gonna have to change all of the info across my pets' profiles... and I have a pet in the spotlight queue right now, so she'd get bumped back in line if I edited her profile to have my new name. ;__; The struggle! I'll probably change it anyway, since I'm not totally happy with this one, but picking which username I want to change to is hard.

My online alias has been Luck since 2007. I joined the site as LuckBurnside but then the un Luck cleared up and I could not, would not let it go xD So pretty straightforward for me. Hopefully you find something you like.

I've been... buuhh...

Galaxy, Zelda, Mist, Argante, and now hollow. My thought processes basically being "I like Zelda," "I go by Mist," "my name," and "gosh I love Hollow Knight."

Picking a name can definitely be difficult! The last two were pretty easy for me because it was basically an update and then giving in my love with a neat name. :b

I was originally ShadowyIce on here, but I felt like I grew out of that name and felt like I needed to change it. It was also inordinately long for people who were trying to ping me. So I changed to Galadriel because 1. I was surprised no one had taken it yet 2. I love LoTR and Galadriel and 3. I am basically her in real life, both in personality and appearance. It was a pretty easy choice, although I was debating between Galadriel and Bugaboo (from Miraculous Ladybug). I'll probably stay Galadriel from now on though :)

Clockworthy (which I haven't used anywhere for ages...kind of miss it), Think, Timeless (I THINK I was Timeless lol), Firebolt (bc yay HP) and Meteora (because yay SVTFOE, though I kind of want the UN Comet or Skywynne now).

I haven't wanted to change it for ages because I'm too used to it. However, I think I might just change it when it reaches 2020, I have an idea of what to change it to, a username I use on a few other game sites, one that I doubt anyone else will take. The thing is, though, this username is one I stylistically don't capitalise, so it might throw everyone off.

I think I've changed my name three times. My first name was absolutesurrender, which was also my name on another pet site, so yay consistency! When I discovered my real name, Catricia, was available, I changed it to that. I was only Catricia for a while though because I've always been mildly paranoid about using my name online (first because of predators, and then later because of how everyone "Googles" people these days).

For a while there, I actually was ! One of my favorite LOTR characters, but this was around the time that I finally started using the forums, and I felt like my forum title and avatar always had to be related to the elf. It felt too restrictive. I don't remember when exactly I changed it, but it was some time after Chrome started saving logins but before you could edit the username that was saved. How do I know this? Because my pin for this site is still saved under Galadriel! XD I'm pretty sure I could now edit it to say "pin" instead but I keep it as "Galadriel" for nostalgic reasons.

I don't remember my reasons for changing to Poetry, but I'm glad I did. It suits me, it's much more easy to diversify my wardrobe, and yet it still gives me a sort of "theme". I've had a dream for a while now to have a poem for each of my pets - it's kind of too bad that I feel like I'm terrible at poetry these days. XD

it's unfortunate that your un wouldn't just update everywhere when you change it so that you wouldn't have to get kicked out of the spotlight queue. :( Is it because of credits?

I hear ya about wanting to keep the capitalization stylistically the same. My un on most other sites is my first name + my birth year (which I was incredibly proud of when I started on the internet because I was so young, but now it makes me look so old! Lol.), and it's always uncapitalized. It would look really weird to me if it was capitalized. But hey, at least you wouldn't be alone on Subeta with an uncapitalized name - for example keeps hers uncapitalized for clarity. :)

If you're thinking of changing your username, you can use [userid*=IDNUMBER] instead of [user*=USERNAME] without the * or ". That way if you change your username anymore in the future, it'll automatically update on your pet profiles. You can grab your userid here.

I've only changed my username once ever during my time on subeta. Back when I joined, I was YoshisWrath. I've humored the idea of changing my username once in a while, but I wouldn't have a matching user/pet name set and I also think people who know me would freak out if my name was different. :'D

I've only changed my UN once, from my old Neopets UN to my real name, but I did that sooo many years ago I wonder if anyone even still remembers my own UN.

I don't have a desire to change my UN again, although sometimes I wonder if anyone I know IRL (aside from my IRL who I referred to Subeta) will find me on Subeta... kind of doubt that.

I've never changed my horrible user name. When I first created this account, I didn't realize there was a lifetime one account rule. On other sites I've created "throwaway" accounts to explore the site, get a little familiar with it, then if I decided I wanted to keep spending time there, I would make a new account.

At first I couldn't afford to change it. Later I couldn't figure out what to change it to. Now, after 13 yrs onsite I'm just used to it and have no huge desire to change it.

I have changed my username twice. I started with xMariaTigress, then changed it to xHeroTigress. After a while I began realizing I never actually liked it and couldn't stand it anymore. For the longest time I wanted to pick a new name that meant something to me (to use on other sites as well) but couldn't think of anything. I liked the idea of usernames being one word or name so I decided to change it on here to just "Hero" but it was taken.

Finally, I thought Lucian would be a great name to use on here. It's the name I picked for one of the main characters in the story I'm working on and I really like it. I'm still satisfied with it as my username, and I hope I stay that way for a long time.

I just changed my username from Metaphora to Metaphor, and don't plan on ever changing it again, although there are some tempting names out there.

So when I first joined subeta the simpsons movie was a reeeeally big thing and on all the sites I joined at the time Spiderpig was taken, so I was so excited to have it available here as an option. Then I wanted a month name as a UN and July was open so I grabbed that. Jigglypuff has been my fav Pokémon for years but there was a longtime user with the name so I never got it, but compromised and had Pokémon as my UN for a nice change of pace. A few years back I went on the old jigglypuffs page and it redirected to mine (it redirects to your own page if a user w that name doesn’t exist) so I SNATCHED that shit right away. been jigglypuff ever since!

i originally went by stjarnor on here which was my screen name on plenty other sites, but i got a loyalty box and decided to change it to stjarne because why not. i got tired of the longer username and i like the new, cleaner look with my new one !

I've only changed my username once, and that was after changing my name IRL. My old username just didn't work (it was based off of my initials), and when I saw that Dill was available (which is lolworthy because my new last name became Pickel) I had to go for it.

I've been ravenclaw for 10 years but before that it was just my name. I thought it was boring and this was open so ¯(ツ)/¯

Except over the last couple years I've wanted my name back and there was a point where it was available and I thought long and hard about switching. But tbh I'd be upset to see someone with this name and I know it'd get grabbed so I'll never change lmao

I honestly didn't know we could change our names, but I am happy to find out. I love what AbbyWanKenobi means to me, but have considered something a little more simple/one word
