we now have lots of lovely pieces to create backgrounds of house interiors and exteriors, including the newly-revamped wall swatches, wood floors, exterior siding, and window boxes! but i think it would offer an interesting level of flexibility to create standalone windows that match the placement of those in the swatches and siding scraps, but displaying a handful of outside environments at varying times of day so we could layer them over other backdrops being used as wallpaper. for instance, i really wanted to add a window to the HA below to show a little bit of outside while maintaining the wallpaper around it.

Outfit Not Found some options that i think would be nice would be a simple sky at dawn, noon, dusk, and night; a forest; distant mountains... that sort of thing. if it wouldn't be too crazy, it might even be cool to have separate "pieces" to mix and match - i.e. elements like trees or mountains on their own that can be layered over the different skies, with window frames in a few different colors, and maybe even curtains/blinds/shades? just something i think would be fun for making insanely customizable interior backdrops!

[edit] people are suggesting other interior backdrop pieces so i'm re-titling this thread to be more general :)

Moving this to avatars since you are suggesting wearables.

I love this idea. Perhaps some of the furniture in Home Appliances could be made wearable. Some possibilities -

  1. Room interior with just wallpaper and a carpet plus a piece of antique furniture and a painting.

  2. Room with a window, curtains, wallpaper and carpet plus a piece of antique furniture.

As it would be mix and match we could create a wide variety of interiors to suit individual HAs. It would also be a compromise for having houses which some players have asked for.

The windows could be in the Delphi Museum of Art, and the furniture in Home Appliances.

I find that we're really lacking in interiors, and prosaic settings in general like exteriors you would find in a town or a city.

I'd love to see layerable pieces like pretty windows and balconies.
