I've kinda noticed this before, but today it became apparent that something was off.

The Problem: The statistics page says I've fought more battles with an opponent than I actually have.

Possible Symptom: Occasionally when battling an opponent, the battle end page will not enumerate how many battles have been fought like it normally does.

The Evidence: Today I was fighting Aboxalypse with Reverai in order to get the amulet after 100 fights. As soon as I received the amulet, I stopped fighting completely. I refreshed her statistics page to find out which opponent I should fight next, and I was very surprised to find that it recorded 105 battles, not 100. Even though, as I stated, I stopped as soon as I received the amulet, and the amulet is given on the 100th win.

There have been other instances of this (with my other pets) where I've fought specifically to a # battle to get the prize for it (usually tomes) and then I would see that the statistics would say something like 151 instead of 150. I thought maybe I was doing one extra without paying attention, and I'm sure this may happen now and again, but now I'm wondering if something weird is happening with the statistics too. Because typically as soon as I see I've gotten the prize I wanted, I move on.

Another thing that might be in play here is that I go through battles as fast as I can, sometimes loading pages before they're ready to be loaded, and I have to go back and try again. But I'm not sure why that would throw off the statistics count, unless maybe it was occasionally double counting some of the battles.

Other Possible Instances: Anozira's fights with Aboxalypse (106) and Phungis (151) Wae's fights with Aboxalypse (101), Angry Angry Arnold (151), Pock, Saper and Riscors (151), Technicant (151) Caesura's fights with Aboxalypse (104) Coax's fights with Aboxalypse (103), Esmeralda (151), Jeremy (151), Willowisp (152)

Looking at all this, it looks like it happens just about every time with Aboxalypse, and sometimes with other opponents.

It's a known and ongoing issue, with numerous threads in the past. I think the only time it will be addressed is during the next challenger reset, which could be far into the future. (Topic: Battle Wins Not Displayed/Counted Properly)

I confess, it didn't occur to me to look for duplicates. (And I probably wouldn't have considered to look under the Site Functionality link.) Thanks for the information!
