Currently, when you click on a pet in the pound, you are taken to a page with some information that looks like this:

It is mostly helpful, but it doesn't tell us everything. For example, it doesn't say what level the pet has or how much food they've eaten, which are two things I'm currently concerned about in a pet. There may be other things that other people are looking for as well.

Instead of trying to fit everything onto that page, I was wondering if it might be possible to put a link to the pet's profile on that page? Kind of like a reciprocal of the link that was placed on adoptable pet's profiles a little while ago. I've noticed that pet profile coding now clears when you abandon a pet, so there wouldn't be any concern about the information being hidden from view.

This would be especially helpful on mobile, where it is more difficult to generate the link on your own, but it would save a few steps from desktop browsers as well.

They can pop a link for the pet's profile under the pet's name there. I think that would work well!

Sometimes, the former owner does leave notes on the pet's profile, or someone leaves a warning for someone else. iirc there was a fake free rename pet floating around in the pound that kept getting picked up and pounded time and time again, but it had a note on its profile.

I think profiles are getting auto cleared now - I don't remember seeing a notice about a change, but a few weeks ago I accidentally abandoned a pet before I took the notes off their page and I realized it a few seconds later when they were still in the Pound. I went to readopt them to get the notes and found out the profile had been cleared.

Which led me to believe that profiles are being cleared now, plus all pets I've adopted lately (and I impulse adopt a lot of pets) have had nothing on their profiles. Which could be coincidental, but could also be not. I dunno.

Huh. o.o I know the faux-rename pet happened earlier this year, so profiles being cleared might be a new change. Not sure how I feel about profiles being cleared, but it'd still be nice to have a link to the pet's profile so you can get a better look at all the little bits that aren't listed on the adopt page.

I do nothing with my pet profiles so I don't even look and would have to sit there awhile trying to even figure out how to do that. There have been times when I have adopted a pet and found something awful or rule-breaking on their petpage only because someone told me. Since I have no coding skills, I sent them back to the Adopt R Us instanter, but I'm afraid someone else might have gotten them and also not noticed it so I'm in favor of the petpage going blank. That way nobody gets warned/frozen just because they adopted a pet.

A link to these stats would be nice. It would be weird for the pet's level to vary so much from their stats, it's a penalty stat that doesn't actually benefit you. If you have adopted a pet that's not vegan and you are you might be unhappy about this. If you hate magic and the pet has read all the magic books this might alwo be bothersome.
