Instead of it being the latest Earth fashion, though, perhaps it could be part of the traditional clothing worn by one of the indigenous humanoid populations of Subeta.

The Tebh must have been around before humans arrived. Maybe the traders here wore some kind of culottes. If so, the culottes could be unisex and worn with tops and jackets or whatever which are very different from blouses and jumpers which come from Earth.

We've already got a lot of clothing items from Shengui Guo so the Tebh could have come up with culottes by themselves. Even though the Subetapedia article says that much of the traditional Tebh culture has been lost they could still have something based on old, traditional clothing for special occasions.

I think this is a fun idea. These are like wider, more-flowey coulottes. I like them.
I do agree that they look like a drawing challenge. A lot of what we're seeing is not too obvious unless the model is in a moving or open pose.

Maybe they could be posed legs, they certainly could have the volume to hide the HA’s legs.
I would love these but a shorter version of them, starting at the waist, ending at the knee or a little above the knee <3 Was actually looking for something like that today in the wardrobe but couldn't find any :(
