OUTDATED

In the past a lot of these guides have tried to list every possible best weapon slot for each tier, I'm only listing the weapons if I can think of concrete use for them. This is designed for an essentially infinite budget. I think people might also be a little surprised about a couple of the weapon choices, and how little I put Trident in here vs other Guides. Work in Progress. Will be adding some comments and more alternatives throughout. I'm also going to add my mod slots on each weapon in.

I was going to try to avoid putting in any budget options in here, but I might go figure out replacements for LGC.

Nice, so there hasnt been a lot of changes in weapons since a year ago?

They seem to be releasing a lot of tier 10 weaps but not 11 or 12? Any new god weaps?

I think the only changes in weapons in the last year is that I read the stats on Shinwas Quill and realized how busted it was lol.

I think its interesting that I don't actually list Trident of Knocker at any point in the guide...

I've never used the trident even when it was in full hype mode.

T1, T2 and T3 are tricky I would say. If you are a serious battler that is training your pet every day, I would use the cheapest weapons possible or only weapons like that are still useful in high tiers. You can easily blow through these tiers through auto training or just training everyday for a few weeks before battling.

This was more for the person going through multiple pets than a new user. And then the other goal was to list the actual weapons that people were finding uses for in the intermediate tiers. Ie not going out of my way to find the best tier 4 dark blocker if people arent using it anyways

I wanted to double check this before I added it in. I have a feeling most of the intermediate budget sets will just be the shines quill plus whatever the healer from the budget set was. Either that or trident plus sq.

I understand your intentions for this guide, but I think new battlers will still misinterpret this as "the weapons I need to have for each tier." I see low tier battling as 1 of 3 types of sets:

 1. You are a serious battler training your main battle pet. In this case, I would not invest in anything costly until tier 8 or 9 other than . Reasons: You will train past the first 4 tiers very quickly and anything very expensive in tiers 5-7 are not endgame weapons. You may struggle with some opponents using cheaper weapons, but you are still training your pet so eventually you will have enough stats to beat the opponent with the weapons you already have. You could argue budget sets vs best investments if you do have the extra sP to spend on better short term weapons.

 2. You are a casual battler. If you are the type of person that doesn't battle/train a lot or doesn't plan on going past a certain tier (ie: you just want your pet to have certain stats for aesthetics but still use them for battling event challengers), then this is where I would am for the biggest bang for my buck. If it's to beat as many opponents as I can at my tier, then I would look at the weapons you suggested. If it's to do the most damage during events, then it may be a combination of some of the items you suggested + ones that hit the hardest without heal/defense.

 3. You are training multiple battle pets. People who have multiple battle pets already have weapons left over from when they trained their main pet or loot they won with their main battle pet. This would be a similar looking set to scenario 1 with maybe the addition of some better weapons if you have the sP and multiple pets that would be using better weapons.

- I'm pretty sure the only tier where these are not the hardest hitting weapons in the tier is maybe tier 5-6. 7 has the hardest hitting weapons listed as alternates.

Also, Shinwas Quill is so busted it might just be worth buying even as a new player. Depending on your stats it is still competitive in Tier 7.

I would consider the quill as one of those get it if it’s in your budget decisions, but you could live without it if you don’t have 1k CSC

In regards to the trident and knocker - the trident from T1-T7 has limited use since the heal is nice, but not many opponents do wind damage. If you do want to go after the harder opponents that deal wind damage, then it doesn’t block enough on its own. It’s nog until the blessed form where it becomes more staple and has 4 mod slots. The knocker is just awful. The only thing it has going for it is the heal at low tiers. The earth block is too small and the attack is too spread out. Unlike the trident, it only ever has two mod slots.

I'm not sure I would recommend ever getting trident or knocker anymore. For the price, they are not super competitive.

For the price of Trident you can get SQuill + Swashbuckle and have 150mil+ left over still and there is only 1 knocker left on the market for 75mil and then it hits 100mil, at that price, just get the Quill.

Quill should probably be nerfed. No other weapon is as consistently good over a larger range of tiers, its even got more range than LGC, a weapon designed to be a high-end low tier weapon... And the Quill is price capped in the cash shop.

And I say this as someone who bought 2 Tridents so I could have a normal and blessed version in my armory. Now I haven't used either in years.

The knocker I only have because I completed the bobblehead collection when they were cheap so I’m not gonna even go there.

The quill I think is a remnant of that time where they made cash shop weapons scalable so that people that spent cash shop money for them didn’t get upset with the tier introduction. I don’t think much thought was given to the stats it has based on other weapons in the tier. You could argue that’s why it’s worth 1k CSC.

Advantages of trident:

 • scalable
 • good stack of icons (especially good for the forj or stacking with parched baguettes that do water damage)
 • blessing (swash has none)
 • better curse than swash
 • 7% heal

Disadvantages

 • expensive/ hard to find
 • 90 wind block instead of 100 like swash
 • not great until you turn it into blessed trident

Swash advantages -better heal at 10% -better block of 100 wind -inexpensive -good spread of icons(similar to trident with water damage)

Disadvantages

 • can only be used at T11+
 • no blessing
 • curse is not as great

Trident has always come off to me as the semi-god weapon to swashbuckle. If you have multiple pets or even if you have 1 pet that’s below T11, it’s still worth getting at the right price. The blessing and curses and the fact that it can be used before T11 make it worthwhile (to an extent). I also used to have two and regret selling one as I had to downgrade back to the lesser versions so my littles could use it. Now I’m forced to use swashbuckle.

A big part of it is that it has 3 mod slots on a Tier 1 weapon. So when we got the EOR mods, SQ got a HUGE buff compared with most low-level weapons. I think it might have also gotten falsely listed as counting as a "Healer" in some guide at some point so a lot of people ignored it.

I would say the scalibility of trident really doesn't mean much anymore now that it scales, but it scales under other cheaper weapons. You can't even go super lazy mode now and use the same set with T1-12 anymore with trident since they broke it into 2 weapons.

I think it still has a place at low tiers because it's one of the very few low tier weapons with a heal. The annoyance is that yeah you would either need to have pets from T1-T7 or pets from T8+ to make the most out of the scalable benefit. If you could find one at the right price, it's still worth the buying if you plan to have multiple battle pets.

It was a battle event prize, awarded to the top 10 pets in tiers 1-7. I think tier 8 was the start for mal. The only way to get it now is from someone selling it.

Wanted to ask re:High End Weapon Sets for tier 1 - 9
Just wondering why the Abaddon wasn&;t mentioned for the legendary combo. Does 2 more icons and also has a small chance to steal along with the % heal.
Maybe it&;s the blessing > curse? Or are dark icons not good?

I&;m planning on getting all the legendaries, so I&;m not necessarily debating on which one to buy. Just wanted to know what the main difference was c:

Figured I'd quote you and just post in thie guide.

I picked Acidtongue and Aspersion because they heal more, also also stack better with Parched mods. The challenger that they are most useful against is also probably Cursed Efigy the Tormented, and the combo of water light and fire completely bypass CeTT's 100% blocking shields.

Thanks for quoting me here, didn't wanna necro this thread and risk a warning.

Interesting insight, as you put Eye of Royalty Crystal mods on the set instead of Parched mods, but I agree that they do work well together. It's a shame that legendaries aren't much use past being a luxury item for T7 - T8.
