recolor notes
Bouncy Curls: more neutral colors; mid to dark brown
Flower-Collar Shirt: black or white
Leaf Lace Shawl: contrasting colorful palette, fun colors
Eye Collar: dark collar/light eyes
Slot on the hair please I love the shape! (It may need a little more shading I think, as right now it mostly looks like a gradient / texturing!)
And if you ever do the top in black or white I'd definitely be interested :)
Thanks so much, I've added you in! Thank you for the tip, too – I'm toggling layers and I think I washed it out too much while adjusting, so I've updated the first post with a less-washed-out version. Let me know if that looks better to you or if you think I could still go into it more. (I know this isn't a WIP thread, so I appreciate the feedback a lot!)
Also noted on the shirt! :)
Our right side definitely looks better! Maybe a little bit of darkness could be added under the cheek / chin on our left side though to give that side a little more depth too :)
Updated! Thank you again for your feedback – I'm embarrassed that the wig wasn't quite there when I made the post, but we all gotta start somewhere, haha. Hopefully it's good to go now!
Fffs I've been doing custom wearables since they were released almost a decade ago now and I STILL post stuff and realize I forgot something / need to correct something, so don't worry about it honestly x'D Also that looks fantastic now! I'm super excited :)
That's a relief to hear! There's so much to learn about custom wearables, both on the art/style side and on the business/logistics side, that I'll probably be making all sorts of mistakes for a good while haha :'D
On that note, I was wondering: do you know how recolors relate to batch/release limits? There's a note on the CW submission page that says the release limit encompasses batches on individual items + number of recolors, but I haven't been able to find clarification on that... I'm a bit confused, and I'm not sure how many batches I should release if I'd like to do recolors in the future. (Especially since I've listed the items as 48hrs unlimited – possibly a bad move? OTL) Hopefully this isn't a bother, and if there's a better place to ask this question, please let me know!
The wording on that is much more confusing than it needs to be!
Basically what this means is, don't lie. So if you release an item (Let's say this wig you've got up now) and you say "This is the only color of it." You cannot later add recolors because then you're lying. If you say something like "I am going to make recolors, but all the future recolors will also be 48hr unlimited too" You have to provide that 48hr unlimited tag for all releases in the future, otherwise you'd be lying.
In your case, if you say nothing, then no one has to expect anything. You didn't say you would do recolors so no one can be mad if none come out, and you didn't limit them in any way, so no one can say "But you said!!!"
Basically it's just an honesty rule that applies to any and all releases. So for this wig, at the end of the 48 hours you have to stop slotting / etc because that's all the slotting you said you'd do and you cannot change that just because it didn't sell or it was more popular than you thought it would be / etc.
That makes perfect sense. Thank you so much for clarifying that – your explanation makes me feel a whole lot better equipped for this stuff.
You've helped me out so much, haha, I really appreciate it! Thank you thank you.

@ Puncture
Added you in, thanks so much!
Please forgive me for pinging more than once on these items, but there are exactly 5 hours left on slotting for both of these and there's still room in the first batches. :)
(I listed slots for second batches, but I should clarify that it doesn't necessarily mean I'll submit two batches for each item even if the first batch doesn't fill. I'll be more clear about that from the get-go in the future, sorry about that!)

could o have a slot on the collar shirt pretty please!
Absolutely, I've added you in. Thanks so much!!
(btw, I love your CWs! I'm new to the world of CWs, but I keep seeing items you've made, and they're just so chef's kiss)
may I have a slot for the hair please?

@ Eleandra
Sure thing, I've added you in – thanks so much!
As you might have seen, the wig was denied. There was only one issue and it'll be an easy fix, so I'll be revising the wig today and resubmitting it once the problem has been resolved. Hopefully this is the only bump along the road, but I'll keep you posted! My apologies that this has happened, and I really appreciate your patience and understanding as I get the hang of all of this. c:
Absolutely. n_n I'm pretty sure every single artist, no matter how experienced here still gets denials (Lol I sure do) so it's nothing to feel ashamed of or think we're going to be upset by! :) pat pat
Thank you for the reassurance! :') I think the hardest thing for me is being careful of colored/light lines at this scale – that was the denial reason for the wig, too. My illustration work involves a lot of colored lines at much larger scales, so teeny tiny CWs (and what looks flat on them vs in a full-size illustration) take some getting used to. I do get the feeling that this is a common problem, though, haha!
Yes haha it's a common denial. I get it a lot too omg. x'D What I usually do is almost 'shade' my line art to get it how I want it now, so it's lighter usually just where the light hits the brightest parts otherwise I get "Sticker effect" denials x'D
Oof sorry for the late response, but that's a good idea! I try to do that, but I'm still getting the hang of it – again, in large part because of the tiny scale of CWs. (Them being so small really requires thoughtfulness about detail placement and contrast, omg.)
