Today from quests I received a . Upon further investigation, it can be planted in the gardens to create a The description says: "Oh my! Can it truely be a sapling of the Ikumoradeekanox?! WOW!! Just think, in only 81,681,219,874 more years, you'll actually have a fruit bearing plant!!"
If the Ikumoradeekanox in Pina Park grew from a sapling like this, according to the description, that would make it at least 81 billion years old (or 82 billion, rounding up), as it bears fruit. Just an interesting subeta lore fact if it's still considered canon.
You're right, that IS an interesting fact!
How did the Ikumoradeekanox get to its current location, do you think? Is Atebus also at least 81 billion years old, or did someone/something else put the Ikumoradeekanox on Atebus? Brought over by an old interstellar empire, or flung across the galaxy by some wayward debris? Is any of this mentioned anywhere? Because I now have lots of questions haha
I never thought about those questions but they are good questions. There's a prevalence of space travel in subeta lore, and it is totally possible that the ikumoradeekanox was manually brought from somewhere else, by someone or something, I mean the humans on subeta are said to be descended from travelers from Earth and brought other things with them. Otherwise I assumed that atebus was probably that old.
Unfortunately there's no Atebus subetapedia entry as far as I can see so I don't know where we can read more.
I haven't really read any of the lore, but could the ikumoradeekanox be a sentient tree capable of traveling on its own? No need to be transplanted, or planted, by anything because it can do that by itself?
That is true. It is also possible that the ikumoradeekanox can move on its own! As evidenced by the caption on the page before you pick a fruit from it: "You approach a mysterious, wiggling tree, that seems to reach out to you as you get closer."
Also, It seems possible that at least parts of the ikumoradeekanox can not only move but have a face. Truly a mysterious lifeform.
Oh my god!! I was gifted a baby Saguaro cactus irl two years ago and had an existential crisis thinking that this plant might still be only a few feet tall by the time I'm like 70 years old, and how could I handle the responsibility of taking care of a creature so much more longer lived than me. xD If someone handed me an Ikunox sappling I'd probably die.
