My layering example

The good: *Oracle is perfect. *Merana is perfect.

The bad: *Melody is over to the right too much. *Maleria is too high and over to the right a tad. *Shinwa is too high and over to the right a tad.

Please, please, please adjust these three to mimic Merana. They don't line up at all and they are great little items. I love the cameos so much.

I think this is one of those things I realized, was annoyed by, and then kind of just accepted but heck yeah if that could be fixed, that would be really great! Good idea!

I like to layer them with short necklaces and the ones you mentioned not lining up are the ones that tend to layer best with necklaces. I get it isn't really the point of a brooch though but at least that's one way you could use them if they don't fix it?

I feel like practically none of the brooches and collars on the site which is a huge shame. If you're going to make them they should have them be part of a set.

Link me some examples! I'd love to see how you work with them. I just wish they worked with the collars. They don't layer with any of them. :( I think another reason I dislike it is that with the way most jackets or shirts lay on the HA, it seems out of alignment to those as well. Sometimes you can hide it but a lot of the time it's too much trouble to bother with.

Those are just some examples of what I have in my small wardrobe. Some are better than others but fairly queen necklace will give you the most basic straightforward layering, which is what I believe I used in the avatar above.

I agree though and collars and necklines are just a total mess in general. The whole 3/4 view just throws things out of wack and makes it difficult for things to be consistent. Sometimes I wonder if they ever regret the avatar base design. Do pretty much any of the brooches line up with any collar neck items? Like not even this line but all the random brooches that have been released. I think the collars they gave us were meant to line up with ties but I'm not even sure that they do they are kind of awkwardly high.

To me a brooch is something you'd wear on the side, so I have used these as pendants that have been named oddly. There are some brooches that are actually wings, and other one that's a belt decoration, so misnames like this is par for the course for Subeta and are not Bugs.

I did some sample collar and brooch combos just to see. There is some disagreement on where the mid-line is for those few mid-line brooches we have and some collars. Other collars work fine with some of them and not others. The problem isn't "correct" positioning, because we don't have a "what is the mid-line of the collarbone" as a single position on the HA that is correct or uniform, any more than we have just one waistline. This is a side-effect of having a base HA that is deformed, chibi, and has weird perspective errors. Also not really a Bug, IMO.

Since these brooches are part of a set of similar items released at the same time, maybe it could be considered a Bug that they are not in the same place? Their location within their set should be regularized so that they are equally wrong or equally right, whatever position that is. Which location Staff chooses is up to them, but maybe they were released at the same time as other items They look okay to me on the flowerjacks and the petal dresses released at Esther's that year.

Whether or not any brooches always get released as part of a total outfit, this is not a Bug, but a Suggestion.

Just because this isn't a coding bug, doesn't mean that placement of an item isn't still a problem. The name of the forum is semantics. This is where you post item art issues???
