Quick Stock and the Inventory page only show 100 (or 250 if you have a gold account) items at once. You can still have more than that in your inventory, I don't know if there is a hard limit, I was over 2100 items last week, but many parts of the site such as the wardrobe and account search let you send items to your inventory even if it's at or over 100 items.

The Inventory page displays those items... in some kind of order, I am not entirely sure how they get sorted, because it is not sorting all of the items in your inventory at once. Maybe the most recent 100? But it lets you kind of sort the most recent 100 by itemID, name, timeline they entered your inventory, rarity, stack size, and user price.

Quick Stock only shows them alphabetically, and unlike the inventory it shows the first 100 of all the items you have, not just the 100 most recent. Which means even if you sort your inventory alphabetically you will see items in Quick Stock that aren't showing up in your inventory yet. The more items you have in your inventory the more this is noticeable.

I have found this makes Quick Stock increasingly useless for getting items out of your inventory at any kind of speed when you have more than the 100 (or 250) item limit. Some might argue this is a suiting "punishment" for going over the limit, however if the limit is there to reduce server strain, it is counter-productive to make us click through item by item and therefore prolong the time we have way too many items in the inventory, when we can solve the problem faster if quick stock could be used more efficiently.

I propose making Quick Stock show whatever non-locked 100 items that are showing up on your inventory page, in the same order- OR making the Inventory sort all the items you have instead of the most recent 100- just do something to make these two pages match up! That way one could look at the inventory screen, pluck out any individual items that might need special treatment, and then accurately Quick Stock that group of 100 items before moving on to the next.

I realize this is something most users probably won't run into, but since this isn't my first time running into Quick Stock vs Inventory discrepancies, I thought I'd post it at the very least for posterity. ;)

Yes, I've regularly run into this - if you vend often its a huge problem. Always an issue during events too because its hard to manage your inventory when you're getting tokens/flowers/trinkets, etc randomly as well as questing or vending.

Not only that, but they also alphabetize differently - numbers, symbols, even capitals are handled differently in QS and inventory.

It all needs to be synced up.

Ahhhh yes, i have run into the weird alphabetical stuff too. I think I made a thread about that like two years ago, of course just like now it comes up when I’m sorting thru massive amounts of hoarded items haha. That can scare me, especially if there are valuable items I think I’m missing all of a sudden, like perhaps I hit donate or delete on the last batch on accident. Nope they’re still in the inventory, quick stock just sees them in a different order.

I didn’t even think of vending, another good reason to make these two places match up.

Oh so much agree. I don't normally have hundreds of items, but over 100 is typical. Which as you mention is really annoying trying to sort the items into shop/vault/gallery/wardrobe when they don't show up the same way.

I definitely agree, and think it's a great idea! The only way I've found around this is to send everything to the vault and pull it back out so that it's alphabetical in the inventory... but then it pulls out all my safekeeping stuff as well.
