The active pet is the one that, supposedly, "things happen to". How come this random event bypasses that? I for one would prefer my main pet to get all the treasure slots. It gets really expensive, having to move them all to my main pet.

I actually really like that it can happen to any pet, in part because my active pet is my battle pet (so I can try to soak up stat events with it, etc), who doesn't need the TC slots as much as my fanpets/character pets do.

Also because TC slots are not very expensive anymore, so to me, it feels more like a "flavor" event anyway.

So, another random event that won't be random anymore. Why call them random at this point if we can control them?

Not all players have just a main pet for everything. I too prefer it can be anyone because I have multiple pets with TCs I work on. It is a nice bonus if one of them got a tc slot. Permanent who is my active pet for stats doesn't need the slots. Plus the fact you can even move to slots from one pet to another is a plus. TC slots are cheaper than what they used to be and there are multiple ways of obtaining them now.

Eh, I'm okay with the way it is now. I'm constantly working on TCs for all my pets, so it's nice to get a free slot every now and then no matter who it goes to.

I'd rather have them happen to any pet, since all of mine have their own collection of items and I always have more items to buy for them. lol As for random events where the pet gains stat, I'd rather it happened only to the active pet. I'm unsure if that's how it goes normally or if it can occur to any pet.

Usual I prefer things to happen to my active pet - especially stats. For TCs though, I really like the random factor. My active pet, is both my oldest pet and my battle pet and so she doesn't need extra TCs, but my other pets do.

I think, now, the active pet gets all the stat events - REs, scratchcards, Oracle quests etc. The only thing it doesn't get are those that go directly to the working pet when you collect income (which makes sense).

Shoot. This thread didn't go well. Looks like I'm in the minority. I really would prefer it going to my main pet. Since my main pet will need THOUSANDS of slots. it will get far too expensive to move them from a pet to another. Like, extremely expensive.

Thousands? I'm curious to know what your main pet's collecting that would require that many TC slots. Because man, I've got a pet with nearly 200 TC slots and I wonder sometimes if that was overkill XD

Someone who's better at math, statistics, and managing money than I am can correct me if I'm wrong. But I can't help but think that even if this random event was changed so that it only affected your active pet, it wouldn't help you all that much if you really need that many.

No support, sorry. My active pet doesn't need more TC slots and I'd have the opposite problem to you if that was implemented.

@ iara tbh I'm here daily for approx 4 hours (excluding random lurking moments) and I roughly get that random event like... once every 2 weeks? I get SBQ invites more often than I get that event. :'D So even if it was changed, I think it would probably do peanuts for your overall TC count if you need 2000+ TC slots. At that point, you're better off buying them yourself instead. Or if you really want that pet to collect that many items, maybe consider making a gallery for your pet's stuff?

i don't see the point in this. i routinely move the free slots to one of my big tcs (usually grillby, but not always), and it's never more than like, five or six at a time. having it attached to my main wouldn't help that (grillby is never my active pet), and i highly doubt i'd get the event enough to have it make a huge difference in the number of spaces he needs anyhow.

once you get a theme going, things can ramp up quickly. my largest tc right now is 1200 items, and it's not done at all.

ANY slot will be useful for me. Galleries don't cut it because there is no advantage of collecting one. They are counter-intuitive, not customisable enough, cannot be sort and items can be re-arranged.

My pet, SCP Foundation, will house SCPs. ach SCP will have their number (4 digits, a marker of their item class and the SCP itself) That's 6 items per SCP. With over 4000 SCPs existing as of now, I would need at least 24K slots. At the very least, moving slots between pets should be free. Why do I get charged for moving the slots of my own pets.

@ iara ... 24k tc slots. 😬 Yikes. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we saw a limit put on TC slots like what happened with galleries because 24k is a whole heckin' lot of (I'm assuming) different items, and I can't imagine anyone's computer would be happy with loading that many images at once.

I do agree on a reduced fee for moving TC slots; I bought 99% of them as is, is the double-charge really necessary? How many people use it? Is it even a viable sP sink, or is it the kind of thing that people rarely even use now? I wouldn't be opposed to having no fee at all but you have to own the pet for 28 days for it to be eligible, just to prevent people adopting pets from the pound just for the TC slots, then pounding them again.

Yes. Agreed to that. YES PLEASE don't charge me to move slots darn it. We need this. I think created pets only have 3 slots anyway. And you can't take those.

@ iara :'D I know, but I'll leave that up to you to sort and decide. Just keep in mind that TCs cannot be paginated to reduce heavy load & trim bandwidth use. Even if they're set to hover-to-display with CSS, the device displaying the profile still has to process and load all those images in the background. Maybe the new pet profiles change something about that, I don't know, but trying to pull & display that many images will make your device freak out.

I think, as with so many things on subeta, it would be nice to be able to toggle the pet related random events to either random or active. This would then please everyone. I do feel like the site is trying to be more customisable and this could just be another example of that.

TC start to be laggy around 1500 items - so it might not be a good idea. I had a 2000 TC+ pet and organizing the TC was a major pain, extremely bulky and annoying. Would never do that again tbh

You mean laggy in the pet lookup or laggy when sorting it out?
