my insatiable desire to throw more items at the masses is mostly tempered by a) my executive dysfunction, but also b) my want to not spam people with releases? especially since ppl wont have csc for everything if i throw everything at them at once...
how frequently do yall like to release stuff? do you space stuff out intentionally or just release it as you get your lil mitts on it? how do you space out your non-holiday releases? and how long after a holiday do you wait to release them, if at all?
Some people have schedules some don't.
I try for weekly as long as I remember and actually have designs. I know others do it as soon as one thing is approved and on site they move on to the next. Some people release things in batches and other forget about stuff for months. So honestly, do what you want to do, give people a little bit of a breather maybe but use your own judgement.
thanks ^_^ i was thinking of doing every 2-3 weeks/approximately, as long as i have stuff to release, and trying to miss the main holidays unless im doing a special holiday release, especially since i have some stuff i wanna release in sets so id want to space it out more than single releases
i'm very new to cws so i'm not sure anything i personally do is advisable BUT i tend to release haphazardly, but i also try to purposely space it out so i'm not throwing a million things at people at once lol. i keep recolours on hand/backup and i also try to line up with bonus weekends if i haven't released anything new in a while!
:0 i forgot about bonus weekends, that's a good idea. they're typically 3rd in the month right?
i think so! honestly i tend to post on my forum group that i'll "release x during bonus weekend" and then just wait until i get the subeta news notification that it is in fact bonus weekend before posting to my main board because my brain doesn't do time very well lol
i mean mood also not a bad idea since im very anxious abt getting dates right
as said, some people have schedules and others dont!
Personally I tend to release on a whim, but I do try not to release more than 2 items per week! It also vastly depends on the item itself (and thus its price tag). For example, smaller items that cost less have greater chances of being purchased because it's a smaller 'expense'. Larger items such as wigs, full clothing or backgrounds will usually cost more to purchase (sometimes up to twice the price of a bracelet or a necklace) - in which case people tend to think twice before slotting!
Bonus weekend is always a great time to release if you can submit on time for it, but I'd say that it can be a bit of a gamble too : users might have more csc but there'll also be lots of cw shop they'll be able to spend their csc on!
If you're looking into submitting a larger amount of items at the same-ish time, possibly you could consider doing an event! These are a great way to group themed items (colors, palettes, styles etc.) into a relatively small amount of time :)
Goodluck! ❤️
I ideally try to wait at least 2 weeks but sometimes it ends up being a week. It depends on how many items I have to release/how badly I want them onsite. ^-^
@Cresenta You have been known to release more than one thing a week :D

Huh? I don't ever remember releasing more than one thing a week unless it was a friend birthday thing.
I tend to release as I get them, but I don't usually get items very often as I have to commission items and that cost isn't something I have all that often. But I did run into an issue where a recolor I got was more suited for a holiday release, so I'll be hanging onto the recolors until that holiday. So I'd say it largely depends on what your stock of CWs is like. I'd say minimum space your releases out at least a week. Two can be better because most paydays for people that buy csc are spaced out bi-weekly. You could also wait to release/submit til around bonus weekend, but that can be a risk like said, as lots of people tend to do that so people's extra csc might be a bit strained as they have to pick and choose what cw's they slot on. So it's really just a pick what works for you type thing. :)
@Cresenta It probably was and that's all good!! It's good-natured teasing. Because I own so much of your stuff :)
