I've only recently began to truly appreciate them. I know I sound so terrible. I've heard about festivals in Japan and Washington D.C. I hope to visit those places some day. For now I think a layout would be lovely, just like you said.

Maybe we can make this happen. Layouts are just so neglected around here. I am terrible with coding anything so I've never tried to personalize my layout, especially since there is a chance that it would interfere with the coding on site already.

Once the new Subeta layout goes live some time in the future, a Shengui Guo cherry blossom themed layout would be a really nice addition to the ones we have!

For the moment though, I think you can probably commission someone to code one for you? I'm not familiar with that market so I can't tell you how much it would cost, but I have seen people getting custom layouts made every now and then. Subeta Graphics also has a free customizable custom CSS, but that one might need some tweaking to get it just the way you want it.

[edit]I'm suggesting commissions or a DIY because it's super unlikely that new themes will be added to the current layout when there's a new layout in the works.

Oh a new layout set up is coming? I must have forgotten about that. I see where you're going with the DIY / commission idea. I just also feel that layouts made by staff here are a neglected area. I'm not saying a whole lot of focus should be placed here, it's not exactly an important part of the site. Variety though around here is appreciated, that's all. c:

Hi! I know you must be super busy, but I have a suggestion for a new achievement, it would earn users a new hidden layout. It can be considered a Shengui Guo achievement, or for anything else possibly. Cherry Blossoms are just so absolutely gorgeous and I would love to have a Subeta layout dedicated to them. Another users above me mentioned that a new layout coding might be in the works? If that's an issue right now, then I totally understand.

For now I'll attempt to keep this idea going in Hope's that more users support it.

I had a feeling that something like a layout wasn't necessarily important right now given everything else that goes into making this site what it is. It's just an idea that I would love to see eventually happen. ^_^

Hi! I know there may be a new layout format coming soon but I have an idea for a hidden layout achievement. I think it could go perfectly with Shengui Guo or the new Tea House concept that's coming.

It's been so long since I've seen any new layouts, so perhaps you might keep this idea in a file folder or just in the back of your mind for now. My suggestion is in my OP. It's all about Cherry Blossoms, I hope you like it!

I’m glad you’re mentioning the layout achievement idea! We really do need some new ones. I’m kinda tired of using the same ones over and over. We need something fresh! I hope what they are working on isn’t too big of a change - I really love the way it works now. I’m so terrible when it comes to change XD

The current special layouts are all more or less slightly broken in their own special ways even compared to the regular themes, so I'd really advise you to hold your horses haha

There should be wayy more support for adding new themes once the semi-mythical layout update hits (would be nice to know what is the eta on that, mind you, I'm not holding my breath for another year or two lmao), so they will likely get on with it when the time comes :D

Either save the idea away or just at least acknowledge that the idea exists. For now I'll just sit around and see what happens. Wishing for this layout is not the only thing on my mind.
