Hello lovely avatar gods/goddesses!

So, I see some AMAZING avatars around the site and, having only just joined, I thought I'd ask for some people's opinions...

So...what two items (one Custom Wearable, one not) could you not live without? I know I have very few items (especially wigs omg I LOVE wigs) but I want to have a look at what items people like...and maybe get some inspiration for my own avatar...

is the CW I use most of all, hands down.

There's so many non-CW items, it's hard to pick, but I love

- I love the CW...that is SO pretty. And that top/sash thing is lovely too...

is my favorite among the CWs I own. is a normal item that I use constantly and would avoid giving up at all costs.

The CW I use most of the ones I own is the It's so cute, and the color makes it really versatile. :)

As for non-CW items, I'd have to use the one I use the most is actually the It's super useful for layering under other pairs of eyes, and gives a lot of eyes a nice winged liner look.

I get all my CSC from SP so I've lived without CW's forever. With Subeta's current artists, non-CW's are honestly a better bang for your buck, with very few exceptions. My current avi is no CW, and below are some other of my great no-CW outfits.

That said, is my favorite background, because it creates a sense of depth even given the constraints of the HA canvas. CLAMP is quite an amazing CW artist.

Non-CW wise, was on my WL forever, but now that I have it I use it less. The eyeliner is a little too dark to match my current, realistic HA style.

Hands down, the items I use the most are the curious dolls, especially the Ash color . You will basically never find me without at least two on because they add such dimension to the flat HA coloring. They also layer nicely to soften the shading and create muscle definition with the muscle tonic items . I just sent you a set of the 10 dolls, welcome to the site :)

just like I am only into cw's a little. If you don't want to inmediately shell out 600-700 csc for a cw you should look in user stores where there are plenty nice older cw's in the 300-500 csc range. Also there's the yearly cw pawn shop sale somewhere around christmas.

But I do agree with solaris,there's plenty great non cw items on site and I still sometimes come across some super nice super cheap item I didn't own yet.

Just choosing two items was kinda hard, and in the end I got some more, sorry about that. I'm going to have to go with non CW items unfortunately, since, well, I don't have any I'm afraid. For a newbie my first recommendations would be to get and recolours, and and recolours, they're a good base to start with, and very cheap. My absolute favorite items are , hella cheap, and and those other amazing cat/dog collection items from 2011, which are very expensive unfortunately.

Heyo ~ Hmmm, a non-CW item I can't live without is proble either one of the freckle lotions mention few posts above, or in various colours. As for CWs, I have many favourites, although I own only 3 so far. If I were to choose from those, here's, imho, one of the best animal ear items on site:

I basically have two major styles for my avatars: themed and fantastical, and ones that look like the real me. For the ones that look like me, my favorite CW has got to be , because it looks exactly like my real hair. I also LOVE to use .

As for non-CWs, you can't go wrong with the skin dolls like said, and the various blushes are super useful too. is super cheap and a great splash of pink, and all the recolors of and are also great for adding a bit of definition and color.
