Most games at this point, with a few exceptions, pay so little sP compared to other sources (Quests, restocking, etc...) that it isn't worth it to try to play to the maximum of 10 a day, because the total amount gotten from 10 plays of graveyard, for example, is less than what you'd get from 1 Sarah quest. The games aren't especially easy, so it takes time and effort to get good scores, but that isn't really rewarded. I get the impression that when most of these were made the economy on the site was different and less sP could get you more stuff, but nowadays the entire games page feels like an afterthought.

Would it be possible to change at least some of the games (if not hopefully all of them) to have the payout be more consistent with the current economy? I don't know how challenging that would be to program, but I bet there are less graceful solutions possible. If not maybe make it so users can submit more daily plays for sP?

Agreed.

Though, really, I've been here 12 years and the games have always been an afterthought. They never measured up to the rest of the economy in terms of time/effort spent. They came closest a few years ago, but they've really been outpaced by quests since then.

There are a lot of games that I'd like to spend more time playing, but I just can't do it because the priority is to earn that sP and by the time I put in the effort to earn and do a few other things I enjoy, there's just no time left to play.

I'm in favor of games getting more parity, even though historically they've never been the biggest earners here. I don't think it's do-able at all though.

The last time games got granted higher sP rewards, restockers and questers screamed LOUDLY about how little reward in sP they were getting for RL time invested for their own favorite activity here. As a result quests started giving out more sP than before and got much safer to do and restocking became much easier as more items were allowed in shops and items got price-supported based on rarity because of course more items around meant that otherwise the price would drop ...and apparently you can't have that?. After this, of course games were once again the least.

There's no benefit to this Suggestion, if Staff's gonna cave again like they did in the past.

I've heard of what is talking about, though I wasn't here for it, and I agree; if the staff is just gonna cave the second the restock and quest people start whining that the games are getting more payout it's not worth it.

I'd love to see the games get more payout, tbh. I'd love to have another way to earn sP that isn't restocking and questing that pays out really well for RL time pout in, but it needs to be done and stuck to instead of things being changed when other people who enjoy other parts of the site decide to pitch a fit.

Why do we view this as "you either play games or restock/quest"? One person could get the profits from all features.

Burrero Bonanza takes around 4 minutes to grant you the max total of 25K sP (provided you are a skilled player). Cybill Sledding takes around 2 minutes and a half, and requires some degree of skill. Flight Simulator is too slow to be considered a good payout. Gravedigger's payout is a joke. Matlal's Jewels awards items, which is nice. But it still needs a slight buff. The game is fun for the most part tho. Net Gain and The Bug Game are just achievement-worthy. They are too slow in the payout department. Caliph's Tomb actually has a decent payout, but you can fail runs if you are unlucky.

I'd prefer a payout raise with a hard cap on how much you can earn from games daily. Like the one Flight Rising has, except not as infuriating and tedious.

The games are (to me) more boring than quests. ">Two games I generally enjoy (Spectrail - snake, Tubular Tiles - mahjong) are currently down until they can be remade to not use Flash. Having total game earnings capped at... idk, 1m, but increasing the payout & removing the send score limit would mean that they can't pump sP into the system at an alarming rate, but that they'd still be viable as a means of getting started on Subeta. Plus, it would make it easier for people with health issues to play the games that they're able to play. Certain games like Burrero Basket Bonanza and Cybil Sledding are notorious for making users motion sick.

If it's over-earning you're worried about, cut the number of Sarah's quests you can do to 5 (with or without a GA), and increase the game payout w/a hard cap. And ofc, re-balance quest total for future quest-a-thons.

A modification to the payout on the games would definitely make it more worth my while to invest some time in them. Piddling amounts of sP - where I can get more from the Rift or fragging - isn't worth it to me right now.

I quest and restock and would love it if the games paid out more.

Income from games is more sP in hand for restocking.

Ah yes, this topic again.

Here's my thread I did a few months ago.

I don't think its going to change, given the amount of thread over the years and nothing being done. Which is a shame. THey spend time making the games and then after the plot is over, or the hype dies down they're rarely touched because they just aren't worth it.
