I’m forest or alex (either works), super longtime user recently returned like a very old, only vaguely threatening specter to haunt the forums and make my pets pretty. welcome to the lizard pit. is it a pit full of lizards, or is it just one lizard living in the pit (the lizard is me)? who knows. i live in a stupid expensive big city and as a result i would love some more money. i’m also upgrading my ball python to a big PVC cage so commission funds will go for now to magnus, my excellent boy.

I’m only opening a few slots at once- i work full time and have other freelance work to do and i don’t want to overwhelm myself. USD commissions are preferred, but CSC is alright too. I’m not accepting sP for now, sorry!

What will I draw?

[box=#AFFF9F]• people of all shapes, sizes, races and genders! i love people! i especially love drawing women and people with short hair! i'll draw rl people, your ocs, your HAs, whatever • I don’t have many examples but I like to think i’m alright at drawing animals including horses/ungulates, canines, felines, most reptiles, and any sort of creepy crawly bug-like creature - i take humanoid characters as priority, but can arrange drawing a character with an animal if you'd like • Backgrounds! They’ll be significantly extra but they’re a specialty of mine • Blood, mild gore, etc.! just ask if you’re wondering • Robotics/mecha to an extent, anything too complicated may be a no-go so just ask • Nonsexual nudity is chill • couples! just double the price of whatever commission type you're interested in[/box]

[box=#EFFFC7]these commissions are all for full-color, basic shading pieces that are essentially cleaned sketches, and NOT perfect lineart. this is all I have the time and resources to do at the time. if you're interested in an uncolored sketch/etc., just let me know and we can work something out, but generally i'm looking to do colored pieces.

i'll also do backgrounds within reason! if interested, just ask and i can see if it's something i'd like to try. for complicated backgrounds, note that they will be anywhere from $20/3000CSC to $40/4000 CSC on top of initial commission prices.[/box]

I love the way you've structured your intro post, you seem like a wonderful person, artist, and lizard (I love how open you are to drawing all kinds of things and you give off a good vibe). You have posed me with two great conundrums: a) what exactly is the lizard pit? Personally, I was thinking a pit full of lizards, but is it you? are you the lizard? Is this your pit? and b) what do I choose to commission you to draw?!? I love supporting artists and indie creators and would love to support you, except I'm so indecisive.

I noticed that you're okay with drawing rl people and I might be interested in an icon for myself (though I have little presence on the internet now and I'd hate not to be able to use it and get your name out there as well. I could use it on my profile here~my current HA sort of looks like/is based on me anyway). I love your personal icon on Twitter, Instagram, and toyhouse! I'm also looking for art for my pet (Seongwon)'s profile.

Seongwon is a Korean Jindo dog who was blessed by the magical entities of his universe to become human and now can shift between being a dog, a human, and an intermediate form (human but with dog ears, tail, and [possibly] full lower body of a dog. I mostly have my [hobbyist and inconsistent] doodles, but I do have a face claim and a Pinterest board for the character if that helps too. I'd ideally be looking for human art, but if you wanted to take a stab at drawing him with dog ears/tail/etc. you'd be more than welcome to try.

I am definitely interested in a slot and would like to pay USD, but I'm having a hard time deciding. Is there one you'd prefer to draw? Or think you might have more fun working with? I can definitely think on it a little more if you'd like me to be the one to make the decision.

hey hey!! thank you so much, i really appreciate it! to answer your question: the lizard pit is whatever you want it to be, meaning it can be all of the above. either way, there's at least one lizard in the pit and i think that's what matters

i'd honestly be up for drawing you or your character! if you really don't mind either way, you can always send me references for both and i can pick which one i prefer, since specifically what i feel like drawing on a given day changes wildly lmao

[also unfortunately no i haven't seen them live yet! i missed their last show in denver but i'm holding out for another one hopefully sooner rather than later]

Ah, I can sleep better tonight knowing that my quandaries have been solved.

I think I'm leaning more toward Seongwon, if that's okay with you. My phone deleted about 3 years worth of photos recently and I didn't realize how many photos of myself I actually lost. Most of what I have are at least a year old or are cosplay photos and I look a little different now. Perhaps, the icon for myself could be a project for the future?

I'm not sure what details/personality quirks you're looking for but I could write something up for you. I do have an 8-page GoogleDoc of notes if you wanted something really thorough, but that's a lot of info and your time is precious. If you really wanted to read it to help get a better idea of the character, I'd pay your hourly rate for reading it. I hope that's not too weird to offer. I always want to make the artist's life easier and make sure they are properly compensated for their time, talent, and effort. The pinboard for his style/aesthetic is linked in the imgur gallery, so you're welcome to have fun with what he's wearing.

Hi, so the truth is absolutely that my eyes landed on the word 'lizard' and kind of just stayed there... Your art is super colorful and fun and I was wondering if you'd consider doing animal art along the lines of those skull/moth illustrations for USD?
