I read on the rules "The item name and artwork must accurately portray the image worn on the avatar. For example, you may not have a cupcake item with a wig for the overlay. You may, however, have an overlay that is a cupcake held in the avatar's hand."
So... If I understand right (sorry I'm French) : If you draw a monocle on the avatar, the item icone should be a monocle, not a dog with monocle or a gear or whatever... But, recently items by Subeta were against this rule like a train for a dress or stuff like that... I was thinking it was just for Subeta team but seing the contest, it seems it's okay with Custom Clothing too.... ?
When it comes to custom wearables the overlay must be represented in the item but doesn't have to be exact. A cupcake can be a wig, as long as the wig is represented. For instance, a lot of people make the "frosting" actually be hair. So it's a cupcake with hair on it. For a monocle you can have a dog wearing it, as long as it's clearly the 'same' monocle (and it's clearly there).
Huuum, okay.... It's not easy to figure out the exact difference but... Okay ^^ Thanks!
It can be a little... fuzzy where the line is. I know sometimes items get denied because the item art is a more unique interpretation and doesn't convey the idea properly (like a fish whose tail turns into hair for a wig, but it just looks normal and has to be re-colored to look more like hair).
Thanks ^^
If I had understand this earlier maybe I'd have made a better item icon for the CW Contest haha XD
It can be pretty confusing. One thing that may help is studying other CW's. See how the overlay fits in with their item and name. You're also free to ask me for clarification through comments any time you want !

So... what about the name of the item?
If I did a bike next to the character on the HA, but deict it as only a wheel on its icon... How do I name it ?
"Nice Bike" or "Lonely Wheel"? XD
I believe "Lonely Wheel" would be perfect for it !
Thanks a lot for all your help! CW are so confusing! ^^°
