So I stuck one of my pets, Magica, into the rift sometime yesterday (3/31 Subeta time), and I noticed today (4/1 Subeta time), that my pet slots went down to 28/29. Curious on if it will let me adopt or create a pet while Magica was in the rift, I adopted a jollin from Adopt R Us. I abandoned him back into the Adopt R Us, then went to the Rift page. I don't remember if it was supposed to give a status on Magica or not, but instead it gave a dropdown to put a new pet into the Rift. Last I checked Magica was still on the NPC account.

ETA: So I didn't see the General Updates post until a few minutes after I made this topic, but noticed the "3. The pet slot your pet occupied cannot be filled. " Maybe Adopt R Us was overlooked?

I'm curious about this as well when pets get sent to be converted into a steamwork color.

Looking into this! It is possible something got overlooked. Thanks for reporting this.

(In the meantime, please do not fill up your pet slots while you have a pet in limbo; glitch abuse is a warnable offense. Not that you need the reminder, but I gotta put it here just in case)

Looked into this! It looks it does prevent you from creating a pet if you have a pet in rift or steamwork limbo, but adopting an existing pet from Adopt R Us was overlooked. This has been fixed.

The pet slots count on your pets page has also been updated to show the accurate number (in both cases)
