Hey!
So, I have a vanity cap of books read for my main battle pet, so I'm stuck with 44AP...which isn't going to be enough for the coming tiers. I'm wondering a couple of things;
Why is AP only connected to books, and not tomes?
Would this break the system if it was made like this?
I'd like to keep my vanity cap, and its odd seeing a higher intel but having less AP. What do you all think?
I'd like to see AP be awarded for intel, regardless of where it came from. Books are finite, after all, while tomes you can surpass the cap.
I can get behind this, the AP system has always seemed a bit weird to me.
@ abel Regarding AP/int being connected to books and not tomes:
This would require a total rebalance of the scroll requirement system if it goes out.
Personally, I'd like it even with a required rebalance in mind. It would simplify things so much, especially for new battlers. And people wouldn't have to remember and numbercrunch how many more books they have to read to get to 95AP with their battle pet for the scrollset they made.
It's all int-based anyway. You still have to read/boost/get that int manually. With the way the books read/books missing page is set up now, it's a lot easier than it used to be. Ex. Psycho Smasher Scroll wouldn't need 16 AP, it would need 120 int. The Void wouldn't need 50 AP, it would need 400 int.*
People who use mass amounts of tomes to boost? All they really have to do currently is wait for the quest shop, or a holiday to get one more book to get all the AP they should've gotten from tomes. Or even save a few new holiday books for a quick read after mass-boosting. So I don't know how, if at all, this suggestion would have system-breaking potential. But then again, I'm not a super pro battler.
