There are a lot of good ideas for events posted below; when I wrote this I was thinking specifically about Neugarten, but obviously that doesn't have to be the one big event for the summer! suggested a water balloon fight or sandcastle building competition, for example, and if anyone cruising by has any other ideas I'd love to see them :D

• Bringing back the food trucks and the icing monster, maybe inviting Ujin over and having him sell more than three things at once as a treat? Some variety in available goods would be nice, even if there wasn't necessarily new ones from the food trucks or Ujin.

• Linking this new-Neugarten with a Great Subetan Bake Off contest (news post); ask people to make their favorite summer foods and treats (i.e., have a savory contest and a sweet one) and have the winners pick what food truck sells their creation.

I'd also love to see staff bring back the summer raffle because that was cute and (presumably) low-effort [sup]and I want the unlucky title o3o[/sup]

-Me and a couple others dreamt up a user contest back in januari that could possibly last the entire summer and includes plenty non artistic user participation Update the login page slideshow

• I'd like to see a redo of the Great Subetan Bake Off but if it is done later in summer it should probably be something that doesn't imply using an oven to make shure all the poor users without airconditioning won't overheat (of course drawing was also an option in the previous edition but for part of the users making it themselves is way more fun). Some summer safe idea's could be: Ice cream and popsicles, coctails and fancy looking drinks (does not have to contain real alcohol so underage users can participate), sandwitches.

-A summer rematch for the Snowman building contest but with sandcastles. This would take some work from the art department but would ultimately just be a who donates/quests the most thing on a technical level. It could possibly be done on delphi beach. Or maybe a actual snowman contest in the arctic frost because everyone has fled the heat.

-writing contests with subjects like campfire horror story's or summer romance

-other themes for random summer user contests: Jaxon skelly's first summer, Merena reemerges and causes some minor beachside chaos

• a water balloon fight using the snowtapult system and the first omen island plot's water balloons (would possibly need some water HA effects) can also be tied to the achievement system maybe with some forum title prizes (USER could win a wet t-shirt contest, USER is wet (maybe a bit inappropriate), USER is soaked to the bone, USER is 100% water, USER is a mermaid)

I'd love to see another summer raffle, that got me doing things I don't usually do on the site, and I would like for the unlucky title to be given out again, it would suit me so well. If not for the raffle, I guess it could be repurposed for something else. But I still like the idea of having the raffle again to get users to do things they don't usually do.

I'd love to see a snowman contest or a sand version of it, with different NPC pairs. I can think of at least one pair I'd like to see taking part...

We do need more events that use Peka Park. In fact, if there's a sand version of the snowman thing, it doesn't necessarily have to be at a new area in Delphi or the Omen Islands or the Sacred Lands, my city does this thing every summer where they make a fake beach in the city centre with lots of sand and water, so they could just build a big sand pit in the park and do it there, and have a pool of water nearby to wash the sand off, and there could be another activity from it, like finding a random prize there.

The staff said on Twitter that they are thinking of having another Peka-Boo but doing it differently, so maybe instead of the Battle of the Bands being a team HA contest, it could be something else? Maybe users have to make music to listen to (Though there would need to be a load of rules about it being their own work and not stolen from anyone else), or maybe just writing lyrics.

Either way, having some of these previous events brought back in some way would be a good chance to also bring back prizes from there. On the "Items to put back into circulation" thread I saw someone ask if there was a way for the Horns and Roses items from the previous Peka-Boo to be made available. And it would be good to bring back the shops from there too, with all the previous items, and some new ones too.

So, out of curiosity I made a list of these contests. I excluded HA, gaming, donation competitions like the on-site snowman building, item/ sP donation, etc. and focused on "creating" contests. Nothing against any of those; I am 110% in favor of doing more of them. ANYHOW. Correct me if I've forgotten any. Of the 11 listed: 3 CW (Peka, Survival, Masq) 2 baking (only one exclusive to real baking) 1 pumpkin carving 2 writing (label design, Camp Veta) 5 Various forms of creating (Ornament, label, camp, Oatmeal's home, fast food baking) 6 drawing excluding CWs (Ornament, label, camp, Oatmeal's home, fast food baking, NPC) 1 drawing only (NPC design) 1 that excludes digital art (Camp)

1. Vesnali/Spring "baking" contest. We can bake, draw, build, craft something based off of the spring season. You can even have an option to write a recipe.
2. Item design, we can create (draw, build) a non-wearable item.
3. Outfit creation (this may be limited to drawing and creating the items with fabric though)
4. "Pumpkin carving" but not just real pumpkins, and maybe even other traditional carved veggies/fruits
5. Re-create a Subeta item as a real object (excludes 'just' a drawing).
6. Experiment pet design[/box]

Give us the option to do recolors so we don't have to settle on one eye color or wig color, etc). I think people, like me, are hesitant to do more designs because we have to settle on a color. Maybe the winning designs can upload more after, or maybe we upload them from the start and they show as "recolor options" under the main one.

Have CW contests be coupled with something else. Maybe writing ? This way people who don't do CWs can still produce something.

I would love to write about some NPCs with my headcanons about them, sometimes I imagine what they would say if they did news posts announcing things to do with them. The Subetapedia entries could do with being updated a lot, and what better way to do that than to have input from the users?

Writing stories featuring them interacting with other characters or even made up ones would also be good. And I also suggested writing song lyrics in my other post about how we could do Peka-Boo differently if it was brought back.

could i kidnap the list of previous contests for the first post, for better visibility? (also, the color you picked for the art section is a bit tough to read, at least for my eyes)

anyway i love all those suggestions but especially the item description one! something like a contest doing descriptions for urban legends like the could be cute, and would be very accessible.

This one sounds fun and would be open to people who can't draw, cook or carve vegetables etc.
