Feel free to lock this post or whatever if this is a common request! (I checked the freq requests n stuff b4 hand but found nothing ¯(;^ω^ )/¯ )

It would be a nice QOL change to have the blurbs pop up on the restocking shop items too! It'd make it easier to buy directly from them, compare prices, search your account for an item, check what is/isn't a wardrobe item, etc.

No support. Restocking for profit is easy already, and if you're just buying the amount of sP you get from quests will buy you most normal stuff you could ever want.

This sorta removes the actual fun of learning how to restock and being persistent at it. It also crashed the site years and years ago when it was implemented anyways. If staff wanna increase the amount of items out there with no effort on the part of users, they could un-nerf Vending.

No. If you wanna cross check your account/WL/SS for given items, just keep the shop and shop search open in two tabs. Cause anyway, in restocking there's no time for checking things - rare and super rare things will be bought out by someone who just learned the items before you even open your first, sometimes laggy hover. And for mundane, cheap items the method with two tabs will do just fine.

While I like the idea of using it to see what wearable items look like, or to see if they are wearable at all, I think that it would make the pages take too long to load, which is they they limit it to non-restocking shops.

Sorry, no support. I already sometimes have an issue where the pop up box for something springs up and WON'T go away even if I hover over another item. If an 'expired' box popped up like that while restocking and blocked the item I wanted to click on, I would be so annoyed. I think it would just be chaotic overall to have pop-up boxes springing up in the shops. :(

Mmmm, no, sorry.

A ton of hovers make things super laggy, and a lot of the main shops tend to be loaded with items. It would also make restocking a no-brainer because you'd have the price, rarity and alllll the other bits right there. And it's gonna be super annoying on mobile. Either the hover pops up normally, refuses to pop up, or refuses to go away.

I understand why you want it, but it would cause more issues than it's worth.

Oh duh, somehow I didn't think of restocking for profit... I mostly wanted to check out which items are wardrobe items lul.

Yeah, I figured lag was part of the problem as to why it hasn't been implemented!

The Item Directory building will help you do this. It's in Centropolis just to the left of the Job Agency and two buldings to the right of the Blue Building.

Also, there's a fansite called Subetalodge that has it's own item Database that allows you to sort by shop, item type, and one more variable (like how much it costs/when it was added to site).

I was legit about to make this same topic.

I see restockers complaining but as a fellow restocker idk why theyre complaining. It would change nothing; all it'd do is make it easier to restock at a shop you're less familiar with, which would be fun! Item hovers are useless when you're trying to flash click through those restocks.

Meanwhile, sometimes, I just wanna discover new items through npc shops and not have to use another tab and strain my wrist through a triangle of 3+ extra clicks + page load time + hover load time just to make sure the item I'm buying is actually a wearable I like and/or not cheaper on usershops.

Nope, zero support. I don't think I need to state reasons, as I agree with everything the others above said. Restocking in regular shops is mostly a game of memory. You need to learn what to get and when.

Pointed here by Bug because I thought this was a glitch and not intended: Hoverboxes should appear universally, in all areas of the site. I shouldn't have to use a third-party tool just to know whether an item is something I want. Am I seriously expected to search Subetalodge for the 100+ items in every NPC shop?

The point of restocking items from NPC shops it to get use to the items that restock there, so you know what will be profitable and what won't be. Most people stick to a few shops rather than all because its near impossible to know what is worthwhile in every single shop.

It wouldn't be fair to those who have taken the time to learn their shops and know what is worth restocking for profit and what isn't. Frankly maybe you should suggest the items admins add a feature to the item database to be able to search by NPC shop types.

That's my point too. How can I know whether I'll want something if I don't even know what it is?

@ Antimoany Thats the point of restocking really, when you come into the site fresh and not sure what a shop carries you have to do trial and error and know from experience restocking items. If you restocked an item XXX and found it wasn't worthwhile to yourself. You move on and learn from the experience and you know not to restock that item in the future.

I've been restocking on various sites for years and it take time to learn shop on all sites, for the most part what you need to do to start learning is the number at which items stock at, that will atleast give you a base understanding of what is worthwhile in restocking items.

Also, newer released items in NPC shop tend to sell for the most profit within their first few weeks of release so its easy to do something like that and overtime you'll learn what to restock and what not to restock.

I'm not restocking my user shop, I want to know which items I want. Is it apparel I want to wear? Is it food I want to feed my pet? Does it have flavour text perfect for a pet's hoard? Can't see any of that without the hoverbox.

Thats the thing though, like others have stated there are reasons tied to restocking items solely for restocking, that gives players an unfair advantage.

Like suggestions to allow wishlist items to appear in user shops, like actually having an colored aura around them. It creates unfair advantages that shouldn't be allowed.

We have an item database here on site, which you can make suggestions about introducing new features there to where you dont have to access third party sites.

In my opinion that option would be best for you, to suggest revamps to the database

to see the items onsite you can go the Item Directory Building. You can sort to limit items and/or view them in different ways. You can find the link under Subeta menu tab.

If you limit rarity to 1-99 this will show you all items currently available in the regular shops. You can search from there. You can add to wishlist and so on.

A good way to start finding out what you want is by doing quests. There are item hovers for the items asked for so if you like the look/description etc you can buy two. You can also keep or use any item prizes you like. Doing quests will also earn you quest points and these can be spent in the Quest Shop which has item hovers.

As you earn sP you can take a look at the Zombie Den which is a permanent sP shop with item hovers. It's expensive for a new player but it could give you some ideas.

Once you know the kind of clothes and pet treasures you want it will be easier search for them.

Somehow missed your ping, sorry. (Probably accidentally cleared it) I really appreciate you pointing me to the directory, that's actually something I've been hoping to find for a while!

I've not done many quests, but you're right. I've discovered a couple of neat items through them already, I should take the time to do all the quests every day (I should anyway, I need money).
