I'm so sick of people killing each other! WTF happened when this became a reasonable alternative to writing nasty notes and doing mean cartoons?

I don't understand how people can hate others so much just for existing. The worst thing is I've heard people in my community here in Ontario say the most ignorant, bigoted things about this. :(

My heart goes out to everyone who was affected by this evil act.

All of the actually decent people in the world need to do more to stop racists and bigots before they hurt others. It starts with words, memes, etc. and even that is too much. Then they get violent.

Hatred breeds terrorism. We need to speak out when we hear hate, we need to stand up against it.

I believe that the majority of people do not hate, but when we remain silent we give power to the haters. Silence lets them pretend that everyone else is just like them. But we aren't and we need to speak our truth.

It’s such a horrible thing and those poor people didn’t deserve it. No one does. Terrorist attacks are wrong no matter who the perpetrators or victims are and I’m so glad the senator in Australia blaming the victims is getting so much criticism for what he said. The world has enough hate. It’s time to stand up and end the hate.

But reading about the hero being praised for scaring the shooter away at the second mosque made me cry. Even faced with unbelievable hatred he stood up to try and save people, and likely saved so so many. What an amazing man and he doesn’t believe he’s a hero. I guess real heroes never do.

And please be careful you guys. The shooter livestreamed the shootings and there are some individuals sharing that footage around to have a giggle at having upset or triggered folks.

yeah apparently the photo will start with a red/pink rug or a thumbnail of a gun, so hopefully one can scroll by fast enough if you do see it. (I got this info off tumblr, thankfully didn't see it myself so if that info is wrong i apologize). Everyone stay safe and sane.

I feel so much for the Muslim community. I have (dear) friends who are Muslim and it sucks how much they have to go through. <3 I'm also a racial minority but as the "model" minority I have a lot less to deal with.
