bad weather

code <style> .hustler, , .owner img, .tpd-tooltip, .tpd-skin, .tpd-content, , , , , , , , .pet_age_info_date, .pet_wco_info_date, , h2, .statbar, , , {display:none;} .floating_item {border: 2px solid ; position: absolute !important; left: 10px !important; top: 10px !important;}

{background-color:transparent;} body {background-color:;} {background: rgb(255, 255, 255) transparent; background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8); height:auto!important; width:700px; top:0px; margin-left: 200px;}

, , a {font-size:11px!important; font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; color:;} {position:relative; width:550px;} :hover {z-index:5!important; position:relative; background: rgb(255, 255, 255) transparent; background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8); } {position:relative; width:550px;} :hover {z-index:5!important; background: rgb(255, 255, 255) transparent; background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8); } {margin-top:40px;} {z-index:1; position:fixed; bottom:0px; right:0px; height:850px; width:795px; background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/mt4xNd9.png); } </style>

hovering over the description and the pet treasure works because it gets the background color change, but it doesn't pull it above the pet image. my (incredibly basic) understanding is that since the pet image has a z-index:1, and the other two have z-index:5, they should go in front of the image when you hover. what am i doing wrong? is this possible to do? with [sub]the endlessly problematic[/sub] safari, i can click the text and pull it above the image for a moment -- is there anyway to make it work "properly" (ie, work with just hovering instead of clicking)? i can't click to pull up the tc at all, so that's the bigger issue atm.

It works. At least for me on firefox.

But two things are happening, first is that your mouse has to be very near the left border of the description and pet treasure. This is to get past the edge of the cat image before it registers that the mouse is pointing at the description rather than the cat.

Second, as I scroll, my mouse can drift further to the right so that its no longer on top of the "visible" portion of the pet description and its pointing at the cat again so the cat flips to the front.

yeah, i need to resize the image, it's... much larger than i anticipated (i swapped it with a smaller one for now)

and i should've thought to check a different browser, thank you for the reminder ><; it works in chrome too, so my problem is just safari being ridiculous again. (it works in safari, for a moment, if you click on the section.) so i guess my question is no longer "does this work?" but "how do i fix it for safari, the bane of subeta?" p:

the smaller image definitely works better :). Sorry, can't help with the safari issue.
