It's super awkward to purchase multiple items from shops like these as once you've bought an item, you're taken to a new page and when you click back, you're taken to the blank front page of the shop to reselect which year of items you'd wish to browse.
If we could have a shopping basket we could fill as we go and then check out with once we've selected all the items we want it would be so, so, sooooo much easier.
Like I do get that clicking in and out of pages to do things on sites like these increases the chances of random events happening but with all the clicking in and out of pages we do anyway, it makes for a really clunky and time intensive user experience when trying to do relatively simple things such as purchase multiple books over several years of shop stock.
Or give flowers- looking at you Survival Memorial... Multiple flower drops to the memorial would be great, I swear literally spent like an hour the other day giving flowers.

Yes please to a shopping basket for L'amour Parlor and the Zombie Den - I ended up CTRL clicking to open a new tab for each purchase so I could keep track of what I'd bought, but that got to the silly stage with so many tabs open!
....or if that isn't possible, at least make it so that when we've bought something, the 'back' option takes us back to the line in the shop we were on (like the training center link takes us back to the pet that was put in for training)

All this extra clicking and the coding related to it is because some users were ending up buying two of something they only want one of. The site is not deliberately forcing you to generate Random Events for yourself.
I don't agree with mass flower laying. Laying flowers is supposed to be a solemn occasion, so I don't agree with a drive-by mass-fling of flowers in the memorial's general direction "here, done that, (Seeree: log achieve) bye dead folks". It used to be somewhat rare to even get a Survival flower, so this wasn't an issue to start with and why the Achievement was actually an achievement instead of just one more box to tick on a form.
L'amour and Skitters could do with a cart like the Cash Shop has, where you don't have to use it but you can. However if it allows you to buy more than ten different items at a time, it's pretty much the guaranteed site-crasher. I buy thirty five of each book so all of my pets get storytime, but still me, I like the control+clicks. It takes hardly any time.
No support for this. It's already easy enough to buy stuff from those shops, specially from the Den which doesn't require a special currency. Hold ctrl and click on the items you want, they will open in a new tab and you can buy as many things as you wish without refreshing/leaving th main page.
has brought to my attention that ctrl+click doesn't work in all browsers, that should be a universal thing. Either it works for all or for none.
Full support. For all special shops. Cause buying thing from there right now is laggy frustrating nightmare. And no, ctrl + click doesn't work for everyone so stop presenting that as a solution. That change might have helped some who had double clicking problem but screwed up other users, I can't see how that's fair.
You used to be able to right click and purchase quicker than this. So I'm guessing someone had to go and screw that up for everyone else on site for it to be disabled.
Support.

Ugh, I would fucking adore it if the shopping cart system was implemented for all holiday shops.
iirc there used to be an issue where people accidentally bought multiple items with one click, so that was fixed and as a consequence of that, it doesn't work in Firefox.
Nobody should be expected to install two different browsers just to play one website. [edit] No support on making flowers easier to lay though. :/ Refreshing/holding down F5 to lay manymany flowers quickly works across all browsers.
there isn't a command to open a link in a new tab on firefox?? google tells me ctrl+click works just fine but I'm really not familiar with firefox
@ Johnny Ctrl+click works for links in Firefox except the ones in holiday shops. :/ No idea why, but it's been that way ever since they fixed the bug for accidental multi purchases that a handful of users was having.
[edit] I can open your profile page fine with ctrl+click, but I can't buy 10 of the books I need from L'Amour by ctrl+clicking. x-x Words are hard today, hope I explained it right this time.
Dang, i'm sorry, I had no idea! That's weird. I'll reformulate my post.
It's all good! You didn't know about it, and I don't know if anything can be done about it without returning the multi-purchase bug. /:
fwiw, hitting F5, or even clicking the URL bar and hitting enter just gives you this message: "Oh No! Looks like the page refreshed. You are seeing this message to prevent you from accidentally making a duplicate purchase."
So if you're using Firefox, you're shit outta luck. Gotta do it one by one for all the purchases you want to make. And that drives me batshit.
i don't want to pile on, but right-clicking to buy from shops doesn't work in safari either! and when it was brought up after double buying was "fixed," we were told we'd have to find a way to make it work ourselves (my google-fu isn't good enough for that, sigh).
that said, bug has been open to doing a cart system for the special shops before -- and since they all use the same system (?), if we got it for one, we'd get it for all of them! and that would be a wonderful quality of life addition. it took me quite a few minutes to buy three full sets of books from louis last night; having a cart system to do that would've been aces :p
I don't know about Safari, but I was told of a browser extension that fixes the issues in Firefox called tabSubmit.
It opens the new tab when you make it, but you switch back to the shop tab using ctrl+# number. I like to open the shop in a new window so it's the first tab, then ctrl+click then ctrl+1 to mass purchase.
That being said though, it would be nice to have a cart or something still, so that other people can have some quality of life changes without having to download an extension or another browser if they can't find an extension that works.
With the shop change, I'd love a basket for all shops.
Yes please
I have to use an extension to buy items into a new tab. My antivirus yells at me for having it periodically and I have to switch back to the actual shop tab every time I click, both of which are frustrating, especially given that, even though I sympathize with those plagued by the persistent double buying glitch, this change was to solve a problem I never experienced (which having a cart system would likely ALSO solve, so) [edit]
I somehow ended up buying multiples of a couple items I didn't want multiples of even with the ctrl+click and tabbing and refreshing disabled so I lost on all fronts
Whatever solutions happens - it should work with all browsers. You shouldn't have to download addons to make stuff work. Refreshing should buy multiple items - I understand about fixing the bug, but I was under the impression that the weird button was the fix, why was F5 also disabled?
A cart system would help, but again we're told to only buy 10 things at a time in the Cash Shop cart, so this may not be the best solution.
With tabSubmit, you don't need to ctrl click, go to tab, press ctrl 1. If you open the shop in the first tab (for simplicity sake). All you have to do is hold down the ctrl+1 keys and keep holding them while you click several items. You might flicker over to another tab, but then after a blink you should be back in the shop. Keep holding the ctrl+1 while you click to buy, no need to let go or make another key selection. The problem here is if you go too fast you get the error message - but in my experience, even when I get the error message, the items do show up in my inventory.

Thanks for firefox extension tip, I got it, it's not perfect, but way better than what subeta "fix" forced us to do. Will suffice for the time being ^^ But I still expect solution for that. Limiting the card to 10 or so items isn't a problem for me.
A shopping basket type feature would be a godsend! The amount of wasted time I spent looking for the items I wanted was too much because I kept forgetting which tabs they were under.
I'm all up for a shopping basket system in seasonal shops. My browser safari used to be able to do cmd + click option but not anymore in its most recent update which makes it incredibly frustrating! So I don't see it as an issue to do (also it'll stop mis-clicks and see an overall total) so it'll be great with or without limit! ^^
