I've been on a lot of pet and avatar sites and honestly, I've seen a lot of things I've liked on them, yeah, but Subeta (for me) has staying power and I feel like being positive and spreading the love today.

Like, for instance, I've never been on a site with better communication with the userbase or more staff interaction. Same with the item release rate for stuff you don't have to buy for real money; there are a couple that come close, but they tend to lack the sheer variety.

What are aspects you love about Subeta and what gives the site staying power for you?

I like the events, they're mostly what keeps me on the site. And the fact that most of these events involve interaction with other users, and rewards for making the effort to do so.

I also like that it's easier to talk to other people in general. And that most people here are really nice. There have been times when people have helped me in some way, and that's inspired me to help another user if I can.

I just like how wholesome things on this website can be, whether it's the staff, users, or various items or pets or characters and lore. Yes, there are some things that can be scary or gross (Or both), but there's so many nice things that make this website feel like a place anyone can go to for enjoyment.

Oh, there are so many things to like about Subeta that I'm not really sure where to start.

I like that staff are so active and involved in the site. They're always trying to make improvements and even let us know what's going on as it happens. They're very responsive to tickets. They're even receptive to suggestions.

I like how you can play Subeta many different ways and none of them are "wrong". You can be into posting on the forums, doing quests every day, working toward achievements, building your pets' profiles, hoarding collections, or you could be doing none of these things at all! There aren't so many rules that you get blocked from doing what really interests you. Over the years, I've done a variety of different things on Subeta.

It's always the same, but it's always different too. As I said above, staff are continually finding ways to make improvements to the site, and the way you play the game can change dramatically. And yet there are things you can depend on which makes it a familiar, friendly, and comfortable place to hang out.

Creativity is encouraged in all forms. Self expression is also encouraged. People, I think, feel free to be themselves here.

Attaining achievements and working on your pets is not an unattainable goal for the most part. Quests give sP (and sometimes CSC!) pretty freely, so saving up for certain colors doesn't feel daunting.

Too many things to list all, but a few things... holidays, events/plots, NPC lore, pet spotlight, achievements... and honestly just the community as a whole ❤️

Everything everyone has said already (especially Poetry, who did half the work for me) plus a few other things i can think of. I like the inclusiveness, the fact that i can find items like pride flags etc and NPCs are so diverse, as opposed to similar themed websites where you can't even type the word 'gay' without being banned. The community here is unusually tolerant and positive to an extent that is rare to find anywhere large groups of people gather but especially online. I don't know if this is because admins are diligent in getting rid of abusive comments or the site happens to attract a certain type of people; i'm guessing probably a bit of both. This is definitely the only site i've found where you not only get a response from admins but actually prompt responses, besides being extremely courteous and pleasant. And Subeta has the most incredible vast catalogue of items with the most entertaining descriptions, and the most attractive pet designs by far. My daughter and i started here when she had just turned 13, we've been here 11 years, and have no intention of leaving as long as the site exists.

I was just looking through the SubetaPedia at pet colors/species and oh my damn, our artists are so talented and have created such a wide variety of pet species. The yaherra is so fricking cool, and it came into creation because staff let us choose it. Idk when the sweetheart one was released (it's been a long time since I've been truly active rather than just casually participating in holidays and making occasional smartass news comments) but the scales on its face and forelegs are tiny hearts, oh my christ.

The details on the steamwork celinox and mahar are so intricate! The galactic blob IS A STAR and per my username I am morally obligated to own one now that I realized it exists! The gem on the kora's forehead is a lightning bolt and its eyes shine from the crackling electricity in the dark little cloudbundle it's playing with! The tail on the harvest priggle is a cracked horse chestnut! I would have said a snail pet was a dumb idea if you'd asked me prior to seeing the scootle, but now I just want to pet its stupid bunny rabbit ear antennae (eye stalks? tentacles?? I've never had to know proper snail anatomy or terminology prior to writing this post???).

you guys I need to change at least half a dozen of my pets, so much has been released or revamped since I was last paying attention. wow.

There's a lot of reasons why this site has staying power over others

A big reason is how involved the staff are. Theyre very good at listening to the members. Unlike some sites that sold out to big corporations. I was on Neo for how many years and it never felt like it evolved and that I was talking to myself. That site had so many issues that were never fixed, while here the staff is on top of it.

I like that we can be a little more adult here.

The pet designs are beautiful

The events. Its the only time I manage to be sociable lol But they are usually very fun

The constant new wearables, so we can have lots of fun with our looks

I love the Subeta characters and lore. It's really fascinating and I'm always happy when the Subetapedia gets updated, and I hope more stuff is posted in the future. It's a shame that I can't find a lot of Subeta fanfiction online but oh well. Its always really interesting to see how other people interpret the world of Subeta and its characters.
