Agh I’m such a noob haha I’m seeing a ton of wig tutorials, they are very helpful too! But I’m a little confused on how to make face overlays... When I try to apply the steps I learned on making wigs (thicker line art, stuff like that) it looks a little off for facial features(eyes, nose.) Anyone have a tutorial or tips?

Oh, yeah. You definitely have to go in the total opposite direction for makeups!

Makeups have to look good on all bases, so a big key that I've found is that LOWER OPACITY IS YOUR FRIEND.

and the other Dragon Tail Makeups are mine. I'm not SUPER well-versed in them, but what I can tell you is-- start with a base with features you normally use. I almost always use the same lips and the same eyes, so I start with something like this:

Outfit Not Found

You'll want to work at a bigger size to avoid everything being pixelated, so I usually resize that to 250x500 and work at 400-500% zoom. I definitely suggest having a couple different base colors as different layers so that as you're working on it, you can click a layer on or off to see how the makeup looks with the different bases. Sometimes it's an unpleasant surprise to have the makeup JUST the way you like it, then you try it on a darker base and go "oh good lord, that's not going to work."

If there's anything more specific I can help with, let me know! I'm happy to.
