We all know the ice fields, we all love and hate them at the same time. But they've kinda been bit pretty badly by the ugg-bug, and they need a few cups of iced tea and a stylish ice pack to get better. :c

On mobile, the image is huge and it takes some scrolling to get down to the direction links. The links are also prone to having the issue of your phone being 120% sure that you wanted to select the word instead of clicking the link. And then there's the alert page. Whooboy the alert page... If I was determined enough, I could easily mass-click the "set alert" link 200+ times and flood the servers with alerts. Last I checked, that's not exactly good for the site. :c

So here's what I'm suggesting: Example of new ice fields Example of "game over" page Example of "set alert" page

• Move the text and direction keys to the top, above the image The art is fantastic, but after visiting the fields for years, I'm here to git 'er done and not stare at the scenery. Also reduces the need to scroll while on a phone.
• Turn the directions into actual buttons Prevents mobile phone derpitude!
• Add greyed out adventure items to the top You kinda specifically need to find these to make any progress in the ice fields.
• Clarification pls! Newbies tend to get confused that you can't keep the cookie when you've found it, but you get to keep items like the petals, berries, etc. Marking the bucket handle & cookie as "adventure items" might make it clearer that they're limited to this area only. And having you put the petals/berries/whatnots in your inventory kind of separates the two. (or I'm thinking too much into this, idk :P)
• Un-blockify the textblock! Self-explanatory. The flavor text is currently squished into a tiny block. If you're on a large screen, it looks abysmal with 80% white space all around that tiny lil image and text blurb.
• Add a message if you've already set an alert Because I'm a flake and I forget, and I fairly regularly end up with 2+ ice fields alerts
• Disable the "set alert" link if an alert is already set Speaks for itself!
• Have the "set alert" link on the "game over" page. Self-explanatory. If possible, slap the set alert link there so users don't have to reload the page to set an alert. Less clicks = better for the site, no?
• Improved and slightly more immersive text! Now with extra snow fairies, because rescuing people is what they do. ;)

Support - always in favor of things to reduce scrolling. I've long since adblocked all the various ice fields images so I don't have to scroll, but I like this option better.

the alert issue is not so simple. Bug did add a regular, simple alert and it ended up breaking the game. Somehow, I don't know how, the programming of the game needs that useless "game over" page. Frankly the whole game probably needs to be remade and fixed from scratch with the currently available tools.

I've read about that, and if it can be remade from scratch to be less glitchy, I'm all for it!

In the meantime, maybe a link along the lines of "go back to the start" on the "oh no you got lost!" page? Something to indirectly tell people that they need to go refresh the page to be able to set the alert.

Separated the game over & add alert page in my example in the OP to make it clearer what I meant, and to add some fresh paint and snow fairies. ;) Make them more than just a Luminaire nuisance.

What if they added viking/Norse style clothing to Icy Goods? I know I'd love that and so would Marvel fans who can't buy from the Cash Shop!
