... and I haven't looked at my Nanowrimo novel since. OTL It's shaping up to be just like every other year whey I cram a bunch of writing into 30 days and then don't write for another year! I promised myself this year would be different, but so far, nada!

I'm in a bunch of writing groups on subeta, but none of them have been pinged in YEARS, so I made a new one! (to go with the nano ping group, but for when it's not actually nanowrimo)

I'm hoping to get a few write-minded people together to keep each other motivated and on track, read each other's works etc, and maybe have just a weekly ping to check in on everyone and see what everyone has written. I am a terrible procrastinator, and I'm sure there are others out there, and I'm hoping this group will help keep us all on our toes and accountable for our creative minds not getting fat and lazy.

I've been calling myself a writer for years but I'm sorely out of practice. I tend to be really good at worldbuilding but the actual writing of stories never quite happens. I'm trying to get into the practice of writing every day. I'd love to join your group to help me stay motivated.

- I'm the same way! I love world building, and the world building usually stems from a story, but then the story never exists.

... but now as I am actually writing a detailed plan for one of those stories... I'm realizing that the world building (the magic system mostly) is actually too weak to support the story properly, so now I'm going back to the world building... and it's just a terrible loop.
