Forgive me if this is already a feature or is rather silly one at that; but I think it would be great quality of life feature to add a date next to the time shown on the Subeta UI. Or even some type of Calendar UI for the sidebar? (It could show dates of events, perhaps?)

Personally, I live in Australia, putting me 10+ hours ahead of the US and it can be a little confusing at times. Even though it's a small feature, I think it's a good quality of life change for people whose times/date don't match the Subeta one! c:

I support this--it'd be really handy for users who live in time zones far ahead/behind Subeta time, and it'd be especially useful for events with a set beginning/end. I also don't think it'd be too obtrusive next to the clock.

Hmmm... I mean, denoting the timezone explicitly someplace would be beneficial. Support.

Support.

I'm only 1 hour off from Subeta Time and it still sometimes confuses me (can never remember if I have to add or subtract 1). I imagine it must be pretty difficult when there's half a day difference.

I support a date display, next to or maybe upon hovering the clock or something. In the meantime, the current date is at least at the top of the news page, but it'd be nice to have a way to reference it without having to go to the news, especially in a really different time zone

Support! I'm only an hour off Subeta time but for users who are really far off this would be great and I agree it wouldn't be too obtrusive to the clock to just add a date next to it.

i would love to have the date near the time if we can sneak that in there. i'm only three hours behind and reset throws me off often. [sup](also for some reason... i thought the site clock had the date on it at one point? maybe i'm think of like, the windows computer clock.)[/sup]

maybe we could just choose our timezones and have that display instead of subetatime ?? any posts talking about time can display ur time zone instead??

for example i’m three hours behind subeta time. so if i looked at a user clearing:

this user will be clearing at 12pm pst on 0/00/00!

I'm in GMT but leap back/forward an hour when we go into BST (British Summer Time), which as you can guess from the name only effects... Britain. So that only adds to the confusion of trying to remember when a Subeta day ends.

I can see this being helpful for times that are programmed in, but news posts are simply text.

Also when I'm chatting with someone to set up a time to do something, I think it might get really confusing. I don't want to have to reveal my timezone, so using "Subeta Time" works quite well. If Subeta changes to whatever time zone you personally set, you're then stuck having to work out what that means for another user if you set up an "appointment." Additionally the issue of Daylight Saving Time can be a hassle for someone who is in a certain zone, but their local area does or doesn't use DST.

Overall I think it would end up being even more confusing.
